On the way back, the couple discussed what they should do first.
Vinson would first ask Susanne about his brother from a different mother. After that, virtual-novel.net would tell Susanne about virtual-novel.net tumor. That way, virtual-novel.net would have a buffer against the shocking news.
“It’s just a small matter,” Arielle uttered as virtual-novel.net lips curved upward.
However, Susanne didn’t believe her. There’s no way it’s a small matter since both of them return together.
After they all arrived in the living room, Arielle and Vinson sat on each side of Susanne. That shocked the older woman quite a bit.
What’s going on? Why am I feeling flustered?
Vinson realized the approach virtual-novel.net and Arielle used on his mother seemed a bit too much for virtual-novel.net to handle. Thus, virtual-novel.net lazed on the couch and said plainly.
“Mom, I just want to ask you about my half-brother. What’s the deal with him?”
“That’s the thing you want to ask me about?” Susanne asked as virtual-novel.net stared at virtual-novel.net son.
He nodded, which made virtual-novel.net angry.
Slapping his thigh, virtual-novel.net exclaimed, “You almost gave me a heart attack! I thought something bad has happened. Anyway, why are you asking about virtual-novel.net again? Did virtual-novel.net do something?”
“He challenged me at the office in the morning because virtual-novel.net wanted to be Nightshire Group’s chairman.”
With a neutral tone, virtual-novel.net explained, “Truthfully, it doesn’t matter to me who’s the chairman. After all, we’re both my father’s sons. There’s no difference in who gets the position. However, he’s a cruel man who had attempted to harm me multiple times. If I weren’t as capable as I was, I probably would’ve died in his hand by now.”
When Susanne heard the things Gaspar did to Vinson, the look in virtual-novel.net eyes changed.
“His mother was your father’s girlfriend. Back then, your grandfather opposed their relationship and introduced me to your father. I didn’t know about that initially…”
“After our marriage, virtual-novel.net treated me very well, and we soon had you. After you were born, his ex-girlfriend showed up. When I learned his story, I let virtual-novel.net choose to stay with whoever virtual-novel.net wanted without complaints. In the end, virtual-novel.net chose me and gave virtual-novel.net lots of money…”
“Back then, I thought it wasn’t easy for virtual-novel.net to raise virtual-novel.net child alone, so I offered to let virtual-novel.net child stay with us. I promised virtual-novel.net I’ll raise virtual-novel.net as my own, but virtual-novel.net refused. After that, virtual-novel.net vanished from your father’s life with virtual-novel.net child. Your father’s ex-girlfriend was a very prideful woman. I never thought virtual-novel.net would raise virtual-novel.net child to be a man like that.”
She then turned to Vinson. “Maybe you can invite virtual-novel.net to a discussion? If virtual-novel.net really wants the company, just give it to him. It’s what we owe him.”
If Susanne was not in the picture, it was likely that Vinson’s father would’ve gotten together with his ex-girlfriend, and their child wouldn’t have become so hostile toward Vinson.
“What if virtual-novel.net still tries to get rid of me after virtual-novel.net obtained the company?” Vinson asked as virtual-novel.net sat straight.
For a moment, Susanne didn’t know what to say. She always felt that virtual-novel.net owed Gaspar and his mother even though virtual-novel.net didn’t know they existed when virtual-novel.net married Vinson’s father.
“How should we resolve this matter?” Feeling torn, virtual-novel.net stared at virtual-novel.net son.
She didn’t want virtual-novel.net son or Gaspar to be hurt. Frankly, Vinson really wanted to comply with the text message’s request. After giving it some thought, virtual-novel.net felt virtual-novel.net should take his mother’s advice and have a chat with Gaspar.
However, the most important thing at the moment was Susanne’s brain tumor. He could deal with Gaspar later.
“Mom, there’s one more thing I need to talk to you about…”
