Arianne kept quiet as virtual-novel.net eyes reddened. Words could not describe virtual-novel.net feelings right now. Even when virtual-novel.net was almost certain it was Mark who had plotted against Will, virtual-novel.net had rather denied it than hate him. She felt disappointed.
The cat had triggered their fight. Arianne was aware virtual-novel.net was behaving like a child who was throwing a tantrum. Before they were married, virtual-novel.net had played the role of a child while Mark played the role of a strict parent.
“Mary, forget it. Take virtual-novel.net back to the bedroom. If virtual-novel.net refuses to go, send someone to take the cat and throw it out,” Mark said indifferently before virtual-novel.net returned to the dining table.
Mary half-forcefully dragged Arianne back to the bedroom. Then, virtual-novel.net advised virtual-novel.net earnestly. “Ari, why do you have to speak to sir in that manner when virtual-novel.net finally changed his attitude toward you? He has improved a lot, why do you have to go and ruin it? Can’t both of you just speak nicely to each other? I know you’re upset because Rice Ball is your precious cat, and you don’t want to see it being bullied. Sheesh, that Nina… Why can’t virtual-novel.net leave Rice Ball alone, especially when virtual-novel.net knows it doesn’t like her? Now that virtual-novel.net has gotten scratched, virtual-novel.net had to make a big fuss over it. As a guest, virtual-novel.net doesn’t even know virtual-novel.net own place. How annoying! Why don’t you rest for now? I’ll get you something to eat in the room.”
Arianne laid on virtual-novel.net stomach on the bed as virtual-novel.net silently cried. Her tears fell on virtual-novel.net blanket, creating small wet spots.
Unexpectedly, instead of Mary, Mark was the one who entered the room. He set a plate of food on the bedside table before virtual-novel.net stood at the side, staring at virtual-novel.net wordlessly. The atmosphere was quiet and tense as though an explosion would erupt in the next second.
After a long while, Mark finally said, “The food is going to turn cold if you don’t eat it now.”
Arianne buried virtual-novel.net face in the blanket, but Mark moved forward and pulled virtual-novel.net up. “I told you to eat!” His tone was not cold, and his expression was not fierce. Instead, virtual-novel.net just looked helpless.
Arianne struggled twice before virtual-novel.net finally gave up. She let Mark hold her, but virtual-novel.net turned virtual-novel.net face away, unwilling to let virtual-novel.net see virtual-novel.net eyes that were red from crying.
“You would fight with me because of Will Sivan? You’ve tasted a few days of living a good life. Are you not used to it? What if I told you I wasn’t the one who did it?” Mark looked rather frustrated.
“Then what’s with the voice clip?” Arianne asked as virtual-novel.net turned to look at Mark.
Mark fell silent when virtual-novel.net met virtual-novel.net eyes. A few seconds later, virtual-novel.net released her. “It seems like from the beginning, you’ve already had your mind set that I’m the culprit. Is that why you’re throwing a tantrum? Great. Fine, I’m the one who did it. There’s nothing you can do about it anyway. You won’t be able to leave until you give birth to a child for the Tremont family. There’s no way you’ll be able to stay with Will Sivan. Oh, if I catch you meeting him, it won’t just be a simple car accident. I’ll make virtual-novel.net vanish from this world!”
Arianne was momentarily stunned. When virtual-novel.net regained virtual-novel.net senses, virtual-novel.net grabbed the pillows on the bed and began to hurl them at Mark as though virtual-novel.net had lost virtual-novel.net mind.
Mark raised his arms to block the pillow. When Arianne was done venting virtual-novel.net anger, virtual-novel.net changed his clothes and left with a cold expression on his face.
In just a short while, the sound of Mark’s car could be heard leaving the Tremont Estate. Mary pushed the bedroom door open before virtual-novel.net came in. “Ari, sir left angrily because of you! Nina has gone with virtual-novel.net as well. There’s no need for you to hide in the bedroom now. Rice Ball is still under the sofa.”
Arianne got up and went downstairs. It took virtual-novel.net some time to coax the cat out. Rice Ball hid in virtual-novel.net arms and refused to touch the ground again.
Mary looked at Rice Ball and sighed. “Hmm, I don’t think Rice Ball is aggressive. It’s always trailing behind me all day long, and I’ve never seen anyone getting scratched by virtual-novel.net either. Why can’t it get along with Nina?”
