At this very moment, it hit virtual-novel.net that Mark had grown important to virtual-novel.net like a family member. Whenever virtual-novel.net was around, the Tremont mansion would come alive. She did not like coming home to a lifeless house. This made virtual-novel.net already tiring day even more exhausting.
Rice Ball mewled and pounced into virtual-novel.net arms. She smiled and carried it upstairs. “I’m going upstairs to shower and sleep. I’ve been really busy lately. I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to take care of you.”
Rice Ball responded to her, seemingly sympathetically, and whimpered pitifully.
By the time virtual-novel.net came out from the shower, Rice Ball had already fallen asleep on the blanket at the corner of the bed. She could not bear waking it up so virtual-novel.net let it be. She gently slipped into the blanket and fell asleep.
After some time had passed, virtual-novel.net awoke from virtual-novel.net dreams to Rice Ball’s sudden yelp. She turned on the lights in a panic. Both Mark and Rice Ball were clearly surprised by this.
Rice Ball shrunk into the foot of the bed, widening its eyes pitifully.
Mark leaned against the bedroom door, unmoved. Who knew what virtual-novel.net had experienced? He had returned after a long day at work. After virtual-novel.net had showered, virtual-novel.net had looked forward to a hard-earned sleep. However, just as virtual-novel.net lay on the bed and stretched his legs, virtual-novel.net ended up kicking Rice Ball’s round little body. He was born sensitive to furry animals. He paused instinctively after his legs flinched. Then, virtual-novel.net scrambled to the doorway, faster than the speed of light.
Realizing what had happened, Arianne felt mildly apologetic and quickly carried Rice Ball downstairs. When virtual-novel.net returned to the bed room, Mark was sitting at the side of the bed with his head lowered, looking lonely. She stepped forward and gently said, “I was too exhausted when I came home and let Rice Ball sleep on the bed. It’s alright now. Go to sleep…”
Mark immediately relaxed. He pulled up the blanket and lay down. “Don’t let that fat cat in while I’m asleep. If I see it again, I’ll turn it into soup.”
These words sounded unpleasant to the ears, but Arianne did not bicker with virtual-novel.net over it. She was tired and so was he. There was no need to sacrifice virtual-novel.net sleeping time over such a small matter. The matter regarding his picture with Aery was swept under the rug due to how busy they were. They did not resolve the issue at all. When people were busy, troubles seemed to diminish since they had no time to worry at all.

Early in the morning the next day, Arianne and Mark woke up at almost the same time. Once they had finished washing up, they went downstairs together for breakfast. The pair was quiet. They did not waste a minute of their time. They got up from bed together, ate together, and left the house together.
Mark had dropped virtual-novel.net off at a stop to hail a cab since virtual-novel.net destination was nowhere near his destination. He was in a rush and had to seize every second and minute in the day, and virtual-novel.net was not so willful as to demand virtual-novel.net to be considerate toward her. It was already a luxury that virtual-novel.net had dropped virtual-novel.net off at a stop.
She had just arrived at the company when virtual-novel.net felt an even stranger atmosphere compared to yesterday. Th ere was an air of nervousness as well. She could not understand why. She had just put virtual-novel.net bag down on virtual-novel.net seat when Lily said, “Mr. Nathaniel is looking for you.”
Arianne grunted in reply and walked toward Eric’s office, knocking on the door. “Eric, I’m here.”
Eric opened the door. “Come in. I need to speak to you urgently.”
Arianne was even more puzzled. “What is it?”
After shutting the door, Eric placed a profile in front of her. “Something has gone wrong with the work under your account. Someone has intercepted it. Someone must have leaked some relevant information, and this big client has terminated their contract with me. I gave you the information in the profile long ago. Only you and I have it. Mine’s right here, where is yours? With contracts like these, we have to keep everything confidential until the end. I even had to personally sign the contract. There’s certainly no unrelated personnel at our meeting place.”
