Tiffany panicked. “You said not to mention break up. I didn’t say the words break up…”
Not wanting to engage in wordplay with her, Jackson pinned virtual-novel.net down again.
Tiffany inhaled deeply as virtual-novel.net grabbed the pillow. “I won’t mention it anymore… You…” Her voice trembled, and virtual-novel.net could no longer make full sentences. The pillow virtual-novel.net held in virtual-novel.net hands was clenched on until it went out of shape as well.
Suddenly, virtual-novel.net phone started ringing, startling her. “My mom’s calling!”
“Pick it up. Tell virtual-novel.net you’re with me. She’ll understand what it means.”
Tiffany knew virtual-novel.net had provoked virtual-novel.net this time so virtual-novel.net pleaded, “Fine, I admit I was wrong!”
Jackson looked slightly placated and allowed virtual-novel.net to answer the call.
“Mom… I’m out.”
Lillian complained, “Are you not coming home? It’s so late. Which friend are you meeting? Don’t you only have Arianne? She’s not even in the capital… Come home now, it’s not safe being out so late at night!”
Before Tiffany could reply, Jackson spoke up, “Mrs. Lane, Tiffie’s with me. I’m Jackson. She won’t be going home tonight.”
Tiffany gave his arm a hard pinch and suppressed the urge to curse loudly. “Do you want to die!”
Lillian, on the other end of the line, heard the words clearly. She was stunned speechless that it took virtual-novel.net a few seconds before virtual-novel.net finally replied, “Uh… sure… take care of virtual-novel.net then… Send virtual-novel.net back tomorrow morning…”
After the call ended, Tiffany was clearly upset.
Was virtual-novel.net mother not worried?!

The next morning, Jackson had gotten up earlier as virtual-novel.net had a morning meeting.
Tiffany had to peel herself off the bed no matter how much virtual-novel.net wanted to sleep in. Since virtual-novel.net wanted to return home earlier, it was better to catch a ride with Jackson than to hail a cab.
During the ride, virtual-novel.net kept dozing off since virtual-novel.net did not sleep much last night.
When they arrived at the entrance of virtual-novel.net apartment complex, Jackson opened the car door for her. “Be good. I’ll come pick you up for dinner when I get off work.”
Tiffany glared at virtual-novel.net weakly. “Get out of my sight! I’m going back to sleep!”
Jackson asked boldly, “Do you need me to carry you up?” His eyes were dark but his grin was wide.

When Tiffany arrived home, Lillian was already up. She asked Tiffany casually, “So early? Were you with Jackson the whole night? Since when were both of you so close? Is it serious?”
Tiffany was afraid of Lillian overspending again if virtual-novel.net knew about virtual-novel.net relationship with Jackson so virtual-novel.net did not want to admit it. “No. There were other people as well. Don’t overthink it. I didn’t get a good sleep. I’m going to catch some sleep now.”
Taking in how Tiffany was supporting virtual-novel.net waist when virtual-novel.net walked and virtual-novel.net hoarse voice, Lillian was rather worried. “How much did you drink? Your voice’s all hoarse. Youngsters! Oh, right, Tiffie, can I apply for a card at the beauty salon that I frequent? It’s around $700, I can use it for a lot of visits.”
This was the first time that Lillian was asking for virtual-novel.net approval for just $700. Tiffany beamed. “Sure. Apply for it if you think it’s worth it. We should take care of ourselves as women. It’s never a loss to spend money on our appearance.”
Lillian counted on virtual-novel.net fingers. “I think so too. After calculating, I save a few dollars with the card compared to paying every visit. It’s quite worth it. I’ll apply for the card once then I’ll put money in it after a while. Alright, go to sleep. I’m going out for a facial later.”

Arianne made Mark breakfast when virtual-novel.net woke up. She left it on the table for virtual-novel.net and went to work after that. She was still reluctant to interact with virtual-novel.net on virtual-novel.net own accord. Maybe virtual-novel.net would leave soon. He would not linger in virtual-novel.net small apartment, would he?
After hearing the door close, Mark walked out of the bedroom. The dumb chauffeur was heavy-handed last night, but virtual-novel.net did not hurt his bones, Mark could feel it. When virtual-novel.net saw the breakfast on the table, virtual-novel.net stood frozen for a moment before virtual-novel.net walked over and began to eat. It was the taste virtual-novel.net was familiar with even though it still did not taste very good…
When virtual-novel.net was halfway through it, Henry called. “Sir, we’re ready. Madam hasn’t called me or Mary up until now. We won’t pick up even if virtual-novel.net does. Don’t worry.”
Mark hummed in reply and hung up. After that, virtual-novel.net called to ask someone to send virtual-novel.net a laptop. He was acting as though virtual-novel.net was bedridden, virtual-novel.net could not even go out the door. Although virtual-novel.net thought Jackson’s idea was rather lousy, since virtual-novel.net had taken Jackson’s advice, virtual-novel.net decided to follow through for now. His work would have to be done via a laptop for the time being.

Arianne was distracted at work.
Upon seeing this, Naya suggested, “Why don’t we hire another employee? Are you too tired? You don’t look energetic.”
Arianne shook virtual-novel.net head. “We have about enough now. It’s a little tiring, but it’s fine. I just have something on my mind… Naya, I don’t feel so good. I’m bothered, but I don’t know how l should say it.”
