Tanya blushed and smiled shyly. “You don’t know him… I met virtual-novel.net online. We’re both in the same industry and talked a lot about fashion design. He seems cultured, refined, and multi-talented. He’s been in this industry longer than I have so I guess he’s my senior. We haven’t met yet, but virtual-novel.net seems like a good guy. Looks don’t really matter. I’ve been wanting to meet virtual-novel.net face-to-face, but he’s always too busy.”
Realization dawned on Tiffany when virtual-novel.net heard Tanya’s words. “Seeing as neither one of you knows who the other is, you’ve never met him, and you’re not dating, does this mean you have a crush on your online friend? Are you crazy? Do you even know where he’s from? His name? How old or how tall virtual-novel.net is? You should at least know these things, right?”
Tanya looked perplexed. “I don’t know… His online ID is ‘Hush’. I don’t know his name, age, or height. I only know he’s in the capital, but I don’t know if virtual-novel.net was born here. I just have a good feeling about him. There’s no romantic development, but I want it. I’m trying really hard here so don’t dash my hopes please.”
Tiffany was not interested in digging for unreliable gossip. “Fine, fine, fine. I wish you the best of luck. I hope you catch your Prince Charming soon. We’re off the clock in less than an hour, I’m going to take a nap. Wake me up when the department supervisor comes by so I don’t get in trouble…”
After work, Tiffany hailed a cab to the Tremont Estate. She was in a bad mood, so good food was the only reliable thing on virtual-novel.net mind now. Arianne’s meals happened to fulfill virtual-novel.net current needs.
Mary and Henry were no longer surprised at having virtual-novel.net leeching off their meals. They set a place on the table for her.
At the dinner table, Arianne’s careful manner of eating virtual-novel.net meals was driving Tiffany crazy. “Can you not chew on your food for such a long time as though there’s not enough food for you to eat? With your methodical manners, one mouthful of food would be chewed to mush and lose its taste by the time you swallow it. This is food blasphemy. You should be more like me, take big mouthfuls! That way, you’ll get the best taste out of the food you’ re eating.”
“Your way is akin to a gluttonous spirit lunging at food.” Arianne snorted derisively as virtual-novel.net peeled the shell off virtual-novel.net prawn. “Mark would have you thrown out if virtual-novel.net sees you defiling the food virtual-novel.net spent so much money on.”
Mary suddenly walked in with Arianne’s phone in virtual-novel.net hand. “Madam, a video call from Mr. Tremont.”
Arianne gestured to Mary to put the phone in front of her. That way, virtual-novel.net could eat while virtual-novel.net answered his video call. This was a regular routine, and virtual-novel.net never missed a single day.
“Ari, how’s the food today? Are they to your tastes?”
Mark’s tone that was laden with gentleness and indulgence felt palpable through the phone.
Arianne smiled at the screen. “It’s not bad. By the way, I felt the baby move today. It was very soft, but I felt it very clearly. My appetite’s been improving lately. That means the little one is growing.”
Mark looked slightly worried. “I’m still not done with work here… I’m really tempted to fly home right now.”
