At the end of the clay, Sylvain was a leading fashion designer. They had small talks during the journey that inspired Arianne. In the end, virtual-novel.net felt that Sylvain sending virtual-novel.net home was not such a bad idea.
Sylvain waved at virtual-novel.net when they arrived outside the entrance to Tremont Estate. “See you tomorrow.”
She thanked virtual-novel.net and quickly exited the vehicle.
Mary had seen all of this and strode forward with Aristotle in virtual-novel.net arms. “Ari, who sent you home? That isn’t Mr. Tremont’s car.”
“A colleague,” Arianne replied casually.
Mary grew increasingly apprehensive. “A colleague? A male? I may not have much experience, but after working for the Tremonts for so many years, I can tell how expensive that car is. What colleague of yours could possibly drive such an expensive car? One look at that color, and you can just tell how unreliable virtual-novel.net is. You should avoid virtual-novel.net as much as possible. Why is a grown man driving a red car? Mr. Tremont won’t be happy if virtual-novel.net finds out about this.”
Only after Mary’s nagging did Arianne realize that Mark did not seem to own any red cars in his garage. Was that the reason why Mary said men who drove red cars were unreliable? She could not help but laugh. “Mary, did you forget that Jackson drives a red car? Is Jackson a bad person?”
Mary curled virtual-novel.net lips. “Let’s call a spade a spade. Jackson used to be unreliable too. He was a big flirt. However, he’s much better now. It seems like virtual-novel.net has principles now.”
Arianne replied helplessly, “That’s enough, Mary. Can you please stop judging people by the color of their cars? This is his first time sending me home. Moreover, it’s not like I asked virtual-novel.net to, virtual-novel.net insisted. Everyone knows I’m Mrs. Tremont and that I’m married with a baby. Who has such bad taste to try anything with me? Don’t worry. I’m used to Mark’s looks. No one else can even compare to him.”
Mary was very confident in Mark’s appearance. “That’s good. Hold Smore for a while, I need to check on the kitchen and see what they’ve made. Mr. Tremont said virtual-novel.net won’t be coming home for dinner tonight, and you don’t have a big appetite. I don’t want them to overcook. It’d be a waste then. The Tremonts may have a lot of money to spare, but wasting food makes me feel very uncomfortable.”
Arianne took Aristotle and heaved a sigh of relief. Mary might be the Tremonts’ housekeeper, but virtual-novel.net worried like a mother. She and Mark shared a good relationship ever since virtual-novel.net was young. She had poured virtual-novel.net heart and soul into the family. Arianne felt more assured with virtual-novel.net around as well.
Knowing that Mark would not be home for dinner, Arianne thought they would only make one to two dishes. However, virtual-novel.net was wrong. When Mary said, “I don’t want them to cook too much”, virtual-novel.net meant the portion, not the type or number of dishes. There were seven to eight dishes, including soup. The portions were simply reduced to one serving. There was also Aristotle’s special baby food.
Mark finally arrived home at 10 PM.
Arianne had put Aristotle to bed and sat in the living room, working on a sketch as virtual-novel.net waited for virtual-novel.net to come home. The Tremont Estate was very quiet, and no one would bother virtual-novel.net in the living room.
