Tanya shook virtual-novel.net head. “I’ve made a lot of wrong decisions. I did not give myself any leeway this time. I’ve given this a lot of thought. Thank you, Jett. Since you’ve given me a way out, I’ll give you one too. If you’re ever fed up one day, I’ll leave. I won’t take anything from you.”
The pair had pretty much given their answers. Tanya’s worries were finally put to rest.
Meanwhile, at Smith Manor.
Alejandro sat silently in Don Smith’s room. Don Smith’s picture of Alejandro was placed by his arm. It depicted the real Alejandro, not him, the imitation.
He noticed that Don Smith would gaze longingly at the picture whenever virtual-novel.net was free. He would stay very still for more than half a day.
Don Smith was now in the hospital, one in the capital. His illness had become too severe for virtual-novel.net to be moved back to Ayashe for treatment. Hence, virtual-novel.net had to summon their personal doctor in Ayashe. He knew that this was his chance to gain full control of the Smith family. If Don Smith got through this, virtual-novel.net would have to endure a few extra years. However, if Don Smith died, no one could stand in his way…
He was perfectly capable of making a decision, but virtual-novel.net hesitated for some reason.
That old bigot did not share any DNA with him. They did not actually get along. He couldn’t understand why virtual-novel.net was hesitating. Was this his conscience?
The thought of that felt like a joke to him. However, the smile on his face felt horrifying.
The bodyguard next to virtual-novel.net gasped. “Sir… Would you like to visit Don Smith at the hospital?” He reminded virtual-novel.net in a trembling voice. “The car is ready.”
Alejandro put the picture on the bed, got up, and said, “Let’s go.”
He brought a lot of nutritional products along the way to the hospital. He told himself that this was simply for show.
Don Smith’s personal doctor stopped virtual-novel.net when virtual-novel.net arrived at his bed. “Sir, Don Smith’s condition is severe. It’s best to avoid any visits. Please leave.”
He looked around the tightly secure hospital ward and curled his lips into a sneer. “This isn’t the ICU. Why can’t I see him? Are you afraid that the old man might stop breathing with me around? Or did virtual-novel.net tell you to do this?”
The personal doctor didn’t dare say too much but simply barred his entry at the door.
Alejandro did not insist on barging in. He stuffed the nutritional products into the personal doctor’s arms. “Then give these to virtual-novel.net for me. Tell virtual-novel.net that I was here.”
The doctor gulped out of fear and nervousness. “O-okay. I’ll let virtual-novel.net know when he’s awake.”
Alejandro scoffed, turned around, and left.
If virtual-novel.net really wanted to go in, no one would have been able to stop him. He just wanted to see if the old man could survive on his own. It would be best if virtual-novel.net died now, at least virtual-novel.net wouldn’t need to waste his effort.
