Gabriel was stunned by the question. “I just fed my mom some medicine.”
“What medicine?”
“This is the prescription.”
Gabriel passed the prescription to the doctor. When the doctor took it and had a look, virtual-novel.net became furious.
The doctor waved the prescription and angrily said, “Gabriel, you’re also a student at Pharmaceutical University, and you also do research in medicine. Don’t you know the most basic pharmaceutical theory? You know your mother’s condition the most. Even so, you still gave virtual-novel.net lisinopril that lowers blood pressure. Do you feel that your mother has lived too long, so you want virtual-novel.net to die early?”
The doctor’s words shocked Gabriel. Actually, virtual-novel.net knew its function and had also thought about the possible consequences. But after Brad advised him, virtual-novel.net gave up on trusting himself.
Gabriel stammered, “M-Mr. Brad Dawson gave me this prescription. Mr. Dawson said…”
“Brad Dawson? Haha!” The doctor said, “That Brad Dawson who only thinks about money? I’ve hated virtual-novel.net for a long time. In the past, the pharmaceutical industry used to be so prosperous under Mr. Owen’s guidance. Now, look at Brad, virtual-novel.net almost destroyed the whole medical industry!”
“What? Mr. Dawson is not that kind of person, right?”
“What do you mean, virtual-novel.net isn’t?” The doctor said, “Gabriel, oh Gabriel, I really look down on you. If your mother can’t be saved today, you’ll be the culprit, the murderer!”
As the doctor spoke, virtual-novel.net threw the prescription onto the floor and angrily walked back into the emergency room.
Gabriel was stunned as virtual-novel.net stood still by himself. He could neither stand nor sit. He stared blankly at the prescription on the floor and could not believe it.
‘Did I trust the wrong person? It’s impossible. I’m just a poor university student. What kind of reward could Mr. Dawson get from me? He didn’t beg me for anything, so it’s impossible that virtual-novel.net would harm me. There must be something wrong with this. There must be something wrong.’ Gabriel grieved.
If virtual-novel.net really caused his mother’s death as a result of the prescription, virtual-novel.net would never be able to live with the guilt.
“No way, I have to figure this out.”
Gabriel left in a hurry. He stopped a cab and went directly to Medical Company. Then, be rushed into Brad’s office rashly.
He widened his eyes and glared at Brad.
Brad knew what was going on when virtual-novel.net saw how Gabriel looked.
“Did you give your mother the medicine?” Brad asked, even though virtual-novel.net already knew the answer.
“Yeah.”
“How is she?”
Gabriel gritted his teeth and said, “After my mom took the medicine, virtual-novel.net didn’t get any better. Instead, it worsened virtual-novel.net illness! The doctor said lisinopril did that. My mom is now in the emergency room, and virtual-novel.net could die at any time. ”
When Brad heard the results, virtual-novel.net did not look shocked but found it natural.
Gabriel asked, “Mr. Dawson, don’t you have anything else to say?”
Brad chuckled. “What else should I say?”
“Don’t you want to explain why this happened?”
“Why should I explain? Gabriel, you’re also studying medicine. Don’t you understand the principle? What kind of condition does your mother have? What kind of drug is lisinopril? Can virtual-novel.net consume it?”
Gabriel clenched his fists. “My mother can’t take lisinopril. But, you said we should take the risk and counteract the toxin with another toxin.”
“Did you just believe whatever I said?” Brad coldly said, “So if I tell you that I’m the reincarnation of Jesus, would you believe me?”
He was twisting the truth. What a glib tongue!
When Gabriel heard what Brad said, virtual-novel.net could not hold back anymore. He yelled, “Brad Dawson, you’re a jerk! I have no grudge against you. Why did you harm me like this? I’m going to kill you!”
Before virtual-novel.net made a move, two bodyguards immediately came from the back and subdued Gabriel.
He was just a weak and gentle university student. How could virtual-novel.net stand up against the muscular bodyguards? He was held firmly, and virtual-novel.net could not do anything.
Brad shook his head. “I had no choice. Don’t blame me.”
Gabriel yelled, “No choice? What the heck are you planning? If you want money, I don’t have it!”
Money?
Brad chuckled. “I know you don’t have money, but you have a healthy body.”
He paused for a while before virtual-novel.net continued to say, “Gabriel, let me be honest with you. I do have a way to save your mother and cure virtual-novel.net of virtual-novel.net disease completely.”
Gabriel did not believe it “Are you still talking nonsense now? Do you think I’ll believe you again?”
Brad said, “Your mother is sick because something has gone wrong with virtual-novel.net spleen. Gabriel, if you’re willing to sacrifice your body and donate your spleen to your mother via a transplant, won’t virtual-novel.net be able to survive?”
“Um… ”
That seemed to be a solution, but spleen replacement surgeries were highly complicated. They could not be carried out by normal people.
However, if Brad did it, maybe it would work. But, could virtual-novel.net still trust Brad?
Brad continued speaking when virtual-novel.net saw Gabriel hesitating. “I’ll make this clear. I did this because I want some organs in your body. I want to take out your organs and transfer them to my noble patient. I’m a good citizen who follows the law, though. I never break the law, so I can’t kill you for no reason and take your organs by force.”
“Hence, I…” Brad stared at Gabriel and chuckled. “Hence, I forced you into a dead end so that you’d have to obey me.”
Brad showed two fingers. “Gabriel Frost, now, you have two options. First, you watch your mother die. Then, you become a murderer and get the death sentence because you poisoned your mother.”
“Second, you choose to sacrifice yourself. Give up your spleen to save your mother, and I’ll personally perform the surgery for her. As a condition, the other organs in your body have to be donated to our Medical Company, and I will handle them.”
It was very hard to choose between the options.
