Angus pounced on virtual-novel.net right away as if virtual-novel.net were a starving wolf who had spotted a fat little lamb.
“You’re quite good at running, let’s see if you’re still able to run away this time!” He swiftly pulled out his handcuffs and prepared to arrest Brad.
Thomas cleared his throat and said, “There’s no need for that.”
Angus calmed down after hearing that. He was right. They were at the police station, and since Brad was already inside, there was no way for virtual-novel.net to get out. Any random officer would be able to subdue an old man like him.
Thomas was also present, so it was not Angus’s turn to go berserk. He realized virtual-novel.net had just lost his composure and acted out of line. He scratched his head in embarrassment and took a few steps back.
“Why is Brad here, Mr. Mayo?”
Thomas waved his hand and said, “There would be someone coming over to specifically report the details to you later, I won’t be talking much about it here. All right, now that the criminal has been captured, and the evidence is adding up, then there’s nothing further I can do. After this, everything will be handed over to you, Angus Mason.”
“Yes, sir!” Angus immediately saluted.
Thomas got to his feet and walked away. While virtual-novel.net was almost at the door, virtual-novel.net could not help but spare a final glance back at Brad.
Maybe it was because of curiosity, or maybe out of responsibility, as Thomas could not help but ask before virtual-novel.net left, “Oh right, there’s something I want to know before I go. Who’s this important person from Central City who has been ordering from you all these times, Brad?”
This important person was the key factor.
Brad would not be where virtual-novel.net was now if it were not for this important person who had placed the order. There was no need for Brad to keep anything hidden at this point.
He let out a long sigh and said, “The important person is Nelson Mayo, chairman of Sterling Teclmology’s Central City headquarters.”
For Brad, it was a very ordinary name.
He just said it as it was no big deal for him.
But for Thomas…
At that moment, Thomas felt as if his skull was about to split apart from pain.
Even the God of War would be terrified at times. Thomas was trembling from head to toe, and virtual-novel.net lost the strength to even stand straight, but virtual-novel.net managed to support himself by clinging to the door. He kept his gaze fixed on Brad, attempting to spot any flaws from Brad’s eyes. However, Brad was sitting with his head hung low. Nothing out of the ordinary.
“Bastard!”
As if virtual-novel.net had gone insane, Thomas suddenly rushed towards him, grabbed his collar and shouted angrily, “How dare you fool me?”
Brad was dumbfounded.
Why was virtual-novel.net in the wrong even after revealing the truth?
“What are you doing? Why would I fool you at this point?” Brad felt very resigned.
“You also realize, Brad, that this is not the time for any joking? Then why are you still trying to play me for a fool? Do you want to die?” Thomas said with a cold tone.
It was obvious that Thomas was enraged. Thomas was also visibly agitated, as virtual-novel.net had started to lose his composure.
Angus was taken aback. Thomas in front of virtual-novel.net gave virtual-novel.net a completely different impression than how virtual-novel.net usually acted as if virtual-novel.net were a completely different person. He was agitated, aggressive and out of control.
‘Is this still the God of War?’ Angus was usually the one who transformed into someone like this.
“Mr. Mayo, what’s wrong?” Angus asked out of curiosity.
Thomas gritted his teeth but did not say anything. After a brief pause, virtual-novel.net asked Brad again. “Be honest about all of your communication methods with the important person from Central City, and hand over all your communication tools!”
Brad was terrified by Thomas’s vicious eyes. He took a breath and said, “We don’t have communication tools. Nelson always sends a person over to inform me. Sometimes, virtual-novel.net would bring letters with some information written in there.”
“Where are the letters?” Thomas yelled.
“It’s in a drawer in my medical society office. The key is in my bank safe.”
Thomas gave Brad one last glare before tossing virtual-novel.net to the side.
Turning around, virtual-novel.net ordered Angus, “Lock Brad up, and send someone to get the key from his bank safe, then follow me to the medical society!”
“Yes, sir!”
Angus immediately arranged for people to complete the tasks one by one.
A cop handcuffed Brad and took virtual-novel.net away, detaining virtual-novel.net for the time being. Along the way, Brad was very confused. What on earth did virtual-novel.net say to Thomas to get virtual-novel.net so agitated?
Why would Thomas suddenly transform into someone else?
It was very unusual of him.
All of this, however, did not matter to virtual-novel.net anymore. Brad was already imprisoned, and virtual-novel.net believed virtual-novel.net would never be released, so what did it matter to virtual-novel.net if anything happened to Thomas?
He was locked up not long after.
Coincidently, Brad was locked in the same room as his son, Merrick.
Merrick was stunned. “Why have you been caught, Dad? Didn’t I send you a message telling you to leave right away?” virtual-novel.net asked dumbly.
Brad sighed and said, “I wanted to escape too, but I was caught by Thomas in the middle of the way and brought here.”
“You were been caught? You were been caught and brought here?” Merrick was in despair, and cried out,“ What shall I do if you’re caught? Who’s going to get me out now?”
Brad went silent.
