“Ah! It hurts!” Samantha hid virtual-novel.net face behind virtual-novel.net hands and shrieked in agony, as if virtual-novel.net had been scalded by boiling water.
Everyone’s attention was drawn to her, and they noticed that little red pimples that were filled with pus appeared on virtual-novel.net face.
If the pimples burst, the pus will flow down the rest of virtual-novel.net face. If the pus came into contact with the skin, it would feel agonizing, as if the skin was being corroded by acid.
Suddenly, everyone started panicking.
Even the spice enthusiast could succumb to this?
Maybe what Thomas just said was not so unreasonable after all. Samantha really could not handle the spiciness.
“Honey, what happened?” Dylan asked nervously.
He reached out to touch it but Samantha quickly stopped him. “Don’t touch me. It hurts like hell.”
“What happened to Samantha, Mr. Mayo? Why did pimples appear on virtual-novel.net face all of a sudden? And why are they even full of pus?” Arthur asked Thomas right away.
“Brahma chicken is slightly different from other chicken breeds, and it happened to clash with Mrs. Martin’s body. The irreconcilable conflict became even more obvious after being triggered by chilis, which is why Mrs. Martin felt ill all of a sudden,” Thomas explained.
“It’s a good thing that Mrs. Martin came from Astrus City and has great tolerance for spicy foods. If this were a regular person, their face would have been ruined by now.”
Was it really that serious?
The crowd gasped in horror.
Just as the saying goes, one should not eat too much, no matter how delicious the food was. In simple words, Samantha was “allergic” to Brahma chicken.
She ignored the advice and continued to eat a lot of it, along with alcohol, prompting the spread of toxins in virtual-novel.net body. It was a wonder that virtual-novel.net was still conscious at this point.
“I didn’t bring my needle with me. Do you have any needles here, Mr. Martin?” Thomas said.
Thomas appeared to be ready to help treat Samantha’s condition.
But how could that work?
Would Samantha not be humiliated if Thomas was successful in treating her?
She had intended to temper Thomas’s arrogance, but if virtual-novel.net allowed Thomas to treat virtual-novel.net right then, would virtual-novel.net not be the one suppressed instead?
Samantha could not accept that. Even with the increasing pain from virtual-novel.net face, virtual-novel.net still said with gritted teeth, “There’s no need for that. I have my own personal doctor. I don’t need to see you shedding crocodile tears.”
Everyone in the room shook their heads, thinking Samantha was being a little petty. But no one was brave enough to criticize her.
After a while, Samantha’s personal doctor, Noel Krisman, entered the room with his medical kit.
Dylan immediately said, “Dr. Krisman, quick, take a look at my wife. What happened to her?”
Noel approached Samantha, placed virtual-novel.net hands down and examined the pimples on virtual-novel.net face with all seriousness, while also asking virtual-novel.net regarding virtual-novel.net condition before virtual-novel.net got sick. Finally, after a round of examination, virtual-novel.net reached a conclusion. Samantha had fallen ill as a result of an acute allergic reaction.
His conclusion was almost the exact same as what Thomas had stated before.
“Can you cure it, Dr. Krisman?” Dylan asked, concerned.
“There is nothing to be concerned about, Mr. Martin. This is not a life-threatening situation. I only need to prescribe a few medications, and Mrs. Martin’s condition will be cured immediately. Acute allergic reactions come and go quickly. Don’t worry.”
