“Are you going to chop my limbs off to avenge your woman, Pig?” Thomas said.
‘Hah!’
He would not dare to do it even if virtual-novel.net had the courage of a hundred people!
He forced a smile while panting and said in a meek tone, “What are you saying? Poison Rose broke the rules when virtual-novel.net tried collecting the rent, so it was acceptable that you hit her. You helped me discipline her, and I can’t thank you enough for that, so why would I ever be disrespectful to you?”
That was a really humble statement from him.
Julia, who was standing near the door, was questioning if virtual-novel.net had misheard things because, why was Pig, who had always been arrogant and aggressive, being so meek today?
Poison Rose, who stood at the door, was taken aback as well.
Had Pig gone insane?
Pig not only did not avenge virtual-novel.net after being thrashed by others, but virtual-novel.net even had the audacity to claim virtual-novel.net deserved to be beaten? Was virtual-novel.net still the man virtual-novel.net knew?
Wasn’t virtual-novel.net behaving too much like a coward?
Poison Rose got worked up and yelled, “Are you nuts, Pig?! Hurry up and chop off that jerk’s arms! Otherwise, I’m breaking up with you!”
“Do I seem to be interfering with your relationship, Pig?” Thomas asked in a calm voice.
Pig answered immediately, “What do you mean? She’s a woman of loose morals and goes around flirting with other men. I wanted to end things with virtual-novel.net a long time ago.”
He turned and took a few steps toward Poison Rose after saying that
“You b*tch! Are you even worthy of offending Mr. Mayo? It’s up to you who you want to be with. I don’t want you anymore. Get the hell out of here!”
Poison Rose became even more worked up.
Not only had the people virtual-novel.net had summoned not been of any use to her, but they had even turned against virtual-novel.net and joined others in humiliating her.
What in the world was going on?
“You’re a coward, Pig! Why didn’t I notice how useless you are sooner?!”
Poison Rose pointed at Pig and began hurling insults at him, which grew increasingly unpleasant to the ear. Pig’s rage had finally reached a breaking point. He was irritated, to begin with, and virtual-novel.net had been humiliated in public as well. What was more, virtual-novel.net was a man who valued his dignity.
“You b*tch, how dare you curse at me?! Did I give you the permission to do it?!”
With a quick sweep of his leg, virtual-novel.net kicked Poison Rose in the stomach and sent virtual-novel.net flying a few meters back. Pig summoned his cronies with a wave of his hands and said, “Beat virtual-novel.net up!”
In a split second, the cronies surrounded Poison Rose and started beating virtual-novel.net up. Even Julia was caught off guard as virtual-novel.net watched the scene unfold.
Which side was Pig actually siding with?
Why had the people Poison Rose called beat virtual-novel.net up instead?
It was like watching an episode of “Internal Affairs”.
Pig turned to face Thomas and said modestly, “That woman really has a running mouth and deserves to be disciplined, Mr. Mayo. I’ll apologize on virtual-novel.net behalf if virtual-novel.net has offended you in anyway.”
“She hasn’t offended me in any way,” Thomas said while nodding. “But virtual-novel.net wanted to take away the shares even if virtual-novel.net had not invested a single cent in here. And the shop isn’t hers, but virtual-novel.net wanted to collect rent for it. I don’t think those were reasonable.”
“Of course, it’s totally unreasonable!” Pig said firmly.
“What will you do now that you have decided it is unreasonable?”
“We’re not going to touch the shares. And we’ll not even collect a penny in rent as well!”
“Okay,” Thomas continued, “She also said that while I will be able to get away from paying rent once, I won’t be able to do it forever and that virtual-novel.net wants to do whatever virtual-novel.net likes after we leave.”
Cold sweat started to form on Pig from fear. ‘This woman really likes to run virtual-novel.net mouth. She just says whatever virtual-novel.net wants!’
“Don’t worry, Mr. Mayo. We will never pay lip service, and we’ll certainly not do such a thing,” virtual-novel.net replied hurriedly.
“Then I’m relieved,” Thomas nodded, satisfied.
“If you have any further requests, please say them, Julia,” Thomas said as virtual-novel.net turned to face Julia.
Requests?
Julia’s head was spinning. She was already happy enough not to have to pay rent and not have virtual-novel.net stocks snatched away. What other requests had virtual-novel.net left unfulfilled?
“No, I have no other requests…”
“If that is the case, Pig, you may go now,” Thomas said.
“Yes, sir!” Pig walked away while bowing respectfully.
After saying that, Pig and his men left, carrying the unconscious Poison Rose with them.
Julia was watching everything that was happening in front of her, and it felt so surreal that virtual-novel.net thought virtual-novel.net was in a dream. She assumed the company would be ruined today, but to virtual-novel.net surprise, not only had virtual-novel.net survived, virtual-novel.net was going to have an even more pleasant life after this.
She marveled to herself as virtual-novel.net inadvertently stared at Thomas. ‘Who is this man, exactly?’
Never in virtual-novel.net wildest dreams did virtual-novel.net imagine that Thomas was the Mark of the River Mountain’s general manager and that virtual-novel.net held a position even higher than Ryan!
Julia was still convinced that Thomas was a minor figure in the Hill family.
Thomas then returned to his penthouse office.
Ryan walked up to virtual-novel.net and asked, “What happened just now?”
“It’s just a minor disturbance. I reckon our enemies were trying to cause trouble by cracking down on us from all sides,” Thomas dismissed it with a wave of his hands.
While virtual-novel.net was saying that, Aquarius rushed into the room and announced, “Commander, we’ve located Granny Wolf!”
