Carefree God of War

Carefree God of War – Chapter 2234

However, Declan’s credibility remained untouched, and when he made that statement, Celandine City was completely thrown into disarray.

Declan was still not done talking.

“Not long ago, I once said that Thomas’ fate happened to stand in the way Celandine City’s destiny, and it will eventually destroy the city’s luck,” he continued. “Later, the old abbot of Harmony Monastery stated that Thomas is actually our savior, and he has come to save Celandine City…”

“With these two statements, we honestly couldn’t tell who’s right or wrong right now. Well now, the opportunity has arrived… Anyone with a pair of eyes can see that this two-headed snake is a demon from hell that has come to destroy Celandine City’ s destiny and luck!”

“If Thomas truly is our savior, he should come forth and heal all those who have been hurt, as well as solve the venomous snake incident. But if he can’t, it proves that he isn’t the savior and is an intolerable existence!”

It was such a nasty move.

If Thomas had not been given the relevant information from the start, he would have been forced into a corner at that point.

‘Ah right, if you’re the savior then it’s only right for you to defuse the crisis. You can’t just bluff your way out of this, right? If you can’t fix the situation, you’ll show that Declan was right. You are a sinner, and should be banished from Celandine City…’

Being expelled from Celandine City was not the worst that could happen to him.

The worst-case scenario was that it would spark public outrage, and they would join hands to create a commotion.

Would Thomas end up beating the common citizens then?

He admitted that Dragon Claw’s move this time had been highly effective.

As he thought about it carefully, it was rather terrifying. However, even if Thomas had mastered the method of curing snake venom, treating a hundred and thirteen people in less than twenty-four hours is no easy task when he had been working at a high intensity for several days prior to this.

The true challenge had come, Thomas!

Before the Video could even finish playing, they heard a commotion downstairs, and it seemed that a large crowd had gathered at the entrance of Food and Medicine Hall.

Thomas and Pisces exchanged glances and headed down the stairs together.

When they reached the ground floor, they could see up to three hundred people gathered in front of Food and Medicine Hall’s entrance.

They all had bloodthirsty expressions on their faces. They were not hired assassins; they were just normal citizens. Of course, most of them were the victims’ family and friends.

“Is there anyone called Thomas in there? Come out!” Outside, the people were shouting loudly.

Thomas strode calmly up to the entrance and roared at the assembled crowd. “I am Thomas!”

As soon as he was finished, an old lady rushed at Thomas, swinging a metal bat and trying to bash it into Thomas’ head.

“You bastard! You caused my son to be bitten by the snake! I’ll kill you!”

That old woman, who appeared to be in her fifties or sixties, refused to listen to anyone because she believed Thomas was to blame for the appearance of the two-headed snakes. That’s why, as soon as she noticed Thomas, she grabbed a bat and hurried over to the scene.

However, Thomas did not indulge it. He snatched the metal bat from the old lady’s hands and tackled her to the ground. Even if it was an old lady, Thomas would not relent when it was time to be merciless.

Following that, Thomas made an even more shocking statement.

“I’m very clear about why you’re all here right now. Let me tell you something. I can cure the snake venom. But I don’t have the time to help all the victims…”

“So, I’ll give priority to whoever that behaves themselves. As for the ones that don’t, you can just go die.”

He turned around, looked at the old lady, and said in an icy tone, “Just like your son, I’d rather watch him die than save him…”
