At that moment, Thomas clapped his hands loudly, and a man walked out from amongst the crowd. It was none other than Aldrich!
Dragon Scale instantly recognized him.
“You?! How dare you still stand in front of me?!”
When Dragon Scale saw the rascal who had betrayed her, she exploded in anger. She swung her arm, and a blade immediately flew toward Aldrich’s neck
It looked like she was going to kill Aldrich on the spot. Unfortunately, Thomas did not give her the chance.
While the blade traveled in the air, Thomas casually threw a stone, and it hit the blade just right, causing the blade to drop to the floor.
Did she want to kill Aldrich? No way!
Aldrich immediately hid behind Thomas.
He smiled brightly and sarcastically said to Dragon Scale, “Why are you so grumpy? You just threw a blade out of dissatisfaction. Were you trying to kill me?”
“You took my money and betrayed me. Shouldn’t I kill you?” Dragon retorted angrily.
Aldrich innocently said, “It’s actually not my fault. You didn’t make things clear.”
“What do you mean?”
“I’m not the owner of Wholly Flower Garden!”
“What?!” Dragon Scale was going to faint.
What the heck was this?
Before she visited Wholly Flower Garden, her investigation had told her that Aldrich was its owner. After she arrived, Aldrich had also arranged everything.
Why was Aldrich saying that he was not the owner?
It was incredibly confusing.
Aldrich cleared his throat and gently pointed at Thomas with his finger. “Actually, before you came, I already sold Wholly Flower Garden to Mr. Mayo. Wouldn’t you be a lunatic if you expect Mr. Mayo to frame himself?”
When he said that, Dragon Scale finally realized the mistake she had made.
It turned out that Thomas had bought Wholly Flower Garden before her and continued to let Aldrich manage it. That gave her a false sense of security and prevented her from learning the truth.
Funnily enough, Dragon Scale had wanted to substitute Thomas’ peonies. Since Wholly Flower Garden belonged to Thomas, would he do the substitution for himself then?
All of that led to the current situation. Therefore, Dragon Scale did not lose for no reason.
She gritted her teeth and said, “Thomas Mayo, you’re really mysterious and cunning!”
Thomas chuckled. “Mysterious and cunning? Compared with the methods you use, I’m very open. Dragon Scale, the evidence shows your crimes, so hand yourself in!”
Hand herself in?
That had never occurred to Dragon Scale before. While she could not defeat Thomas, it was still a piece of cake for her to escape.
Dragon Scale unbuttoned her clothes and threw her jacket into the air. Then, some white smoke spread out. Everyone quickly covered their mouths and noses with their hands, as they were afraid of being poisoned.
It was so crowded on the site, and it was very chaotic. Dragon Scale took the opportunity to run away.
Strangely enough, Thomas did not go after her.
He just waved his hands in dismissal.
After the smoke faded, Thomas said to everyone, “The smoke is just camouflage. It’s not poisonous. Please relax. Besides, I’ve already prepared the antidote for Cloudy Peony. Those who have been poisoned, please don’t move. I’ll get someone to eliminate the poison for you.”
Thomas had already thought about this before he executed his plan, so he also prepared the antidote earlier.
