Ava’s concerned voice sounded in Madeline’s ear.
Madeline turned virtual-novel.net face and tried to look for Ava in the dark. However, virtual-novel.net got nothing. “Ava?”
“Maddie, what happened last night? Why are you hospitalized? Who sent the message to me on your phone?”
Madeline opened virtual-novel.net eyes to look again after virtual-novel.net heard Ava’s voice of concern. However, everything was still dark in front of her.
She lifted virtual-novel.net hand and put it in front of virtual-novel.net eyes, but virtual-novel.net could not even see the outline of virtual-novel.net hand.
Heh, virtual-novel.net was blind again.
She closed virtual-novel.net eyes and took a deep breath.
“Maddie, Maddie?” Ava was extremely concerned.
Madeline only shook virtual-novel.net head. “Ava, I’m fine. You don’t have to worry about me. I won’t let anything happen to me for the sake of the children.”
She promised, then recalled what happened after virtual-novel.net jumped out of the car.
She had been too impulsive.
When virtual-novel.net thought about virtual-novel.net parents who died tragically and the man virtual-novel.net loved who was also the one who caused virtual-novel.net parents to die in the fire, virtual-novel.net could not face it nor did virtual-novel.net want to face it.
She had wanted to end this. However, when virtual-novel.net calmed down and thought about it clearly, virtual-novel.net realized how stupid virtual-novel.net was.
If virtual-novel.net was dead, Lana would be the happiest.
How could virtual-novel.net give up before seeking revenge?
She could not.
Madeline did not tell Ava about virtual-novel.net vision loss. She merely said virtual-novel.net was tired and wanted to sleep before asking Ava to leave.
After Ava left, Madeline got up with much effort to find the call button.
Her head hurt, and it was as if a million needles were stabbing the back of virtual-novel.net head.
She endured the pain, and after a while, the doctor arrived.
When virtual-novel.net knew that Madeline could not see, virtual-novel.net arranged a full-body check-up for her.
After they got the results, the doctor told Madeline that virtual-novel.net eyes were fine and there were no clots in virtual-novel.net brain, so perhaps virtual-novel.net blindness was psychological.
There was a knot in virtual-novel.net heart.
Madeline felt that virtual-novel.net would never regain virtual-novel.net sight in this lifetime.
She did not have a solution to get rid of the knot in virtual-novel.net heart.
Eloise and Sean would never come back to life.
She could not forgive Jeremy for his crimes either.
However, the doctor was pretty nonchalant about this. She said a lot of patients had the same condition as her. Usually, they would recover on their own and perhaps virtual-novel.net would be able to see again the next day.
Of course, Madeline would want to regain virtual-novel.net vision soon. After all, virtual-novel.net still had to take care of virtual-novel.net three kids.
Afterward, virtual-novel.net asked the nurse to inform Karen about this.
Karen sobbed quietly when virtual-novel.net found out Madeline was blind again after virtual-novel.net arrived at the hospital.
She felt as if misfortune favored Madeline.
As virtual-novel.net mother-in-law, Karen did not hit Madeline when virtual-novel.net was down like virtual-novel.net did before. This time, virtual-novel.net was taking care of Madeline with all virtual-novel.net heart.
Madeline’s wounds healed very quickly, but virtual-novel.net still could not see anything.
Her movements were greatly restricted because of this.
Karen brought Madeline’s youngest son over so that virtual-novel.net could breastfeed virtual-novel.net while virtual-novel.net went to fetch Madeline a glass of water.
Jeremy had been coming to the hospital these few days. However, since Karen was always around, virtual-novel.net did not have a chance to get close to Madeline. Finally, when Karen left, Jeremy walked hurriedly to the door.
He looked at Madeline through the small window with an emotional glint in his eyes.
However, the glint was quickly overpowered by a complicated look.
“Linnie,” virtual-novel.net called out softly, and it was as if Madeline heard virtual-novel.net because virtual-novel.net lifted virtual-novel.net head suddenly.
When Jeremy was about to hide, Madeline placed virtual-novel.net son down and started feeling around the edge of the bed to get up.
He was taken aback in disbelief. He thought virtual-novel.net was seeing things, but in the next second, virtual-novel.net saw Madeline crashing into the coffee table with virtual-novel.net knees and falling to the floor.
Jeremy immediately pushed the door open and barged in to help Madeline get up. “Linnie! Linnie, are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?”
