Fabian scanned the room, and once virtual-novel.net saw his son, virtual-novel.net snapped, “Who’s Jack? How dare you keep my son from leaving?”
Jack was unruffled when virtual-novel.net saw the new company walking toward them as virtual-novel.net potted another ball. He gently placed the cue stick on the table and said, “You’re the head of the Turner family, yes? Your son lost one billion in our game of billiards, and virtual-novel.net only has half a billion with him. He’s lost the game and, well, losers need to pay. I won’t let virtual-novel.net leave unless virtual-novel.net comes up with the remaining money virtual-novel.net owes me.”
“Young man, don’t you think you’re going overboard for betting one hundred million a game?” Fabian had a condescending smirk on his face as virtual-novel.net added, “Apart from that, you were the one who lied to my son that you didn’t know how to play billiards, and virtual-novel.net wagered quite an impressive amount because of that. Are you sure you deserve one whole billion?”
Jack merely shrugged. “Master Turner, I hope you can assess the situation before saying something. I didn’t lie to your son or trick virtual-novel.net into playing with me; I really have just learnt how to play. Apart from that, your son was the one who wanted to win money from me, so virtual-novel.net instigated the competition between us.” Jack paused before virtual-novel.net added, “If virtual-novel.net didn’t intend to win money from me, how could virtual-novel.net possibly lose the game?”
At this moment, the young man beside Fabian stepped forward and said, “Uncle, ignore this sharp-tongued guy. We should stop speaking with him. Let’s give virtual-novel.net half a billion if virtual-novel.net wants it so badly. We’ll still leave with Young Master Turner if virtual-novel.net doesn’t want it.”
Fabian nodded. “Hmm. You’ve got a point, Cadmus Sanders,” virtual-novel.net spoke. “We can’t treat this person with such regards.”
A surge of relief washed over Leo when virtual-novel.net heard the young man’s name. “Brother Cadmus? You’re Brother Cadmus? Dear me! I didn’t recognize you as it’s been years since we last met. I heard that you joined the army and received an honorary title. You’re a marshal, right? When did you arrive?”
Cadmus smiled. “It’s been a long time, Brother. I’ve just been at your house less than an hour ago and had no idea we’d meet under such circumstances.” He paused for a while before virtual-novel.net assured, “Don’t you worry. Your Brother Cadmus is here, and it’s considered giving virtual-novel.net face that we give virtual-novel.net half a billion. After all, we’re not bullying virtual-novel.net because we are stronger. He’s delusional if virtual-novel.net still wants a billion!”
“A marshal!” chirped Jack with a smile after virtual-novel.net heard this. “No wonder you’re so confident. You’re a marshal!”
Timothy smiled at Cadmus and said, “I’ve no idea that Young Master Sanders is actually a marshal. I envy you for having this title at such a young age!” He glanced at Jack in disdain. “You’re much better than a specific someone in this room. He’s so arrogant as a head commander, and virtual-novel.net offered me no shred of respect!”
Cadmus was happy when virtual-novel.net heard this. With a grin, virtual-novel.net spoke to Timothy, “This must be Young Master Drake, the Drake family’s eldest young master. You look very striking. Let’s have some drinks once I settle the matter here.”
“Alright! I’ll pay for our drinks. After all, this Eastfield, and I should show my hospitality as your host!” Timothy chuckled, obviously pleased. His father and sister spent so much money to cling onto Jack, though virtual-novel.net was a mere head commander.
Timothy believed virtual-novel.net was the better one as virtual-novel.net was establishing a connection with someone of better status; a marshal, much more reliable than Jack.
