“Don’t worry, Cecilia. We’ll have a spectacle to witness later!”
Ivan and Xena exchanged a glance before the former told Cecilia.
“What spectacle? Aren’t I the spectacle now?”
Cecilia was on the brink of tears.
“Come over here!”
Ivan grinned and tugged Cecilia over to the side. Then virtual-novel.net divulged how Jack had been poisoned.
“Really? So you’re saying that Jack is going to drop dead later, just like that?”
Cecilia immediately felt better when virtual-novel.net heard that. Even if virtual-novel.net embarrassed herself today, virtual-novel.net would be happy once Jack dies. She would forget all virtual-novel.net grudges and anger then.
“Of course. I even checked on virtual-novel.net a few days before. He already had some symptoms then. He said that virtual-novel.net had a headache and that virtual-novel.net was feeling fatigued. Basically, virtual-novel.net wasn’t feeling well. Look at virtual-novel.net laughing on the other side now, chatting with the Goddess of War. But the poison will work its magic anytime soon. His death will come in a matter of one or two minutes!”
Ivan spoke confidently, smiling. He continued after thinking for a while, “But Jack’s symptoms are kind of strange though. Some parts of his body should have been rotting by now, and virtual-novel.net shouldn’t even be able to stand up. It’s probably because virtual-novel.net has such a strong body!”
“Hmph. He deserves it. Who knows where virtual-novel.net got the money to book an entire seven-star hotel? He just embarrassed me to no end. He deserves to die!”
Cecilia looked at the screen on the opposite hotel. “Judging from how he’s laughing along with the Goddess of War, virtual-novel.net probably borrowed the money from her. Only someone like that would have that much cash to lend out. And virtual-novel.net doesn’t have to invest in any businesses. So money isn’t all that important to someone like her!”
“That’s probably the case. Jack had saved her, after all. They really seem to be on good terms. I really admire how he’s practically sitting on virtual-novel.net lap!”
Ivan was overwhelmed with emotion. “But he’s meeting his end today. Their wedding will turn into his funeral!”
“Hmph! Which part of the event sends ripples throughout the entire city? He just booked a single hotel. He simply managed to get a hundred Rolls-Royces for his car fleet. This is nothing compared to what they had promised!”
Cecilia snorted coldly. She spoke in a sour tone, seeing as how only a few people were present at virtual-novel.net wedding.
“Eh. Why does that person look so familiar? I think I’ve seen virtual-novel.net on TV!”
At this moment, an old man with a few other people in tow went before Jack and the others to give his blessings. The image of this group was quickly captured and projected on the hotel’s screen.
“That–that’s the boss of Daxia Juwel! My God. He’s a disgustingly rich businessman. Probably one of the richest in the entire country. Shouldn’t someone like that be in Gin City? Why’s virtual-novel.net in Eastfield?”
Cecilia quickly recognized the man. She released a loud exclamation.
“We meet again, my boy!”
The old man laughed as virtual-novel.net walked over, clasping Jack’s hand and shaking it. “I didn’t know what to give, so I only brought over a few rings. They’re not too expensive—probably worth three hundred million dollars in total!”
