It was a shoal filled with pebbles, but Blade slowly made his way across them all. With every step virtual-novel.net took, virtual-novel.net looked around to observe his surroundings. Even a slight breeze was enough to make virtual-novel.net stop in his tracks.
As an assassin, his perception was far sharper than regular warriors, though this did not once let virtual-novel.net lower his guard. After all, only one person would walk out alive from this isolated space. He was confident in his skills but not blindly confident.
If virtual-novel.net faced someone as strong as Chris, virtual-novel.net would not be able to defeat virtual-novel.net in single combat. Thus, Blade planned on obtaining victory through strategy. Before entering the isolated space, virtual-novel.net already had the start of a plan.
If everything went on smoothly, virtual-novel.net would be able to emerge victorious. He would get the bronze medal and obtain a valuable treasure while Chris, Edward, and everyone else would die under his sword. All of the bragging they did would become a medal on his body.
Blade could not help but let out a smile at the thought. There was a reason virtual-novel.net was so careful. Before virtual-novel.net could carry out his plans, virtual-novel.net needed to make sure virtual-novel.net was safe.
He desperately prayed that virtual-novel.net would not meet Chris or Edward. If virtual-novel.net met either of them, everything would be for naught. He might die on the spot!
After all, facing someone as strong as them, virtual-novel.net would not even get the chance to speak normally.
He took a deep breath and continued walking forward. After virtual-novel.net got out of that shoal, which lacked places to hide, the first thing virtual-novel.net needed to do was find a good hiding spot to conceal himself. He could not let anyone else find him!
Blade wanted to conceal himself first. Once everyone else killed each other, virtual-novel.net would reveal himself. However, thinking about that, virtual-novel.net would not be the only one with that thought in mind.
If everyone thought the same way and concealed themselves, would the slaughter gambit not go on forever, turning into a game of cat-and-mouse?
At that moment, a cold voice rang out, “I know what you’re thinking. ”
Blade shuddered in fright. Even his breathing stopped. He looked toward the source of the noise and saw Chris walking toward virtual-novel.net from a large tree.
He seemed composed as if virtual-novel.net was walking in his backyard. Compared to how Blade was trembling, Chris was the picture of calmness.
A hopeless look flashed in Blade’s eyes. He cursed himself for being so unlucky. He did not even make it that far before meeting the strongest of the 10!
Blade started to panic as his lips trembled. “What are you trying to do?”
The moment virtual-novel.net asked that, Balde cursed himself for being stupid.
What else could Chris do in such a time and place?
Since the two of them had met, it would probably be a fight to the death. Unless their skills were at an equal level, only one person would leave this shoal.
Chris did not seem to have any intention of attacking immediately, however. He had a smile on his face, looking like a cat toying with a mouse.
He ignored Blade’s question as virtual-novel.net continued, “Weren‘t you thinking of hiding yourself and watching everyone kill each other? You’re thinking you’ ll stand a greater chance of winning if you jump out at the last moment, right?”
