Marsha had been with Edgar for so long in Edgar’s journey, and no one knew Edgar’s talents better than he did.
With so much talent and skill, Edgar was only at 20% compatibility. Marsha could not accept that at all. It felt too absurd!
How was that possible?
It was unthinkable!
Having low compatibility with the laws meant that it would be very difficult for Edgar to master the attributes as he trained. That was because attributes were subsets of the laws.
Since it was hard to understand attributes, it meant that Edgar would not be able to use high-level techniques at all. That was a natural consequence. Yet, the skills that Edgar used were far greater than any ordinary person could imagine. Otherwise, he would never have been able to reach his heights. No one ever managed to defeat Edgar.
Marsha gulped and blurted in disbelief, “The stone is probably damaged… The results aren’t accurate! They can’t be!”
When everyone around him heard that, everyone laughed in disdain. After all, they knew nothing about Edgar and felt like Marsha refused to accept the truth.
Those stones were created along with the Whirling World, and if anything was wrong with the stones, it meant there was something wrong with the creator.
How was that possible?
At that moment, Octavius said coldly, “Stop wasting everyone’s time. If it’s your turn, then hurry up and get tested. What’s the point of saying all of that? Do you like wasting time?”
Octavius’ words were spoken with the intent of making everyone hate Edgar and Marsha.
Marsha’s lips twitched as he turned and glared at Octavius.
Octavius scoffed before he held his head high and said, “What? Are you not happy? Am I not right? Aren’t you just wasting everyone’s time?”
Marsha took a deep breath and said, “I’m not going to do it anymore.”
Marsha thus gave his spot to the person behind him. He had just been there for fun, anyway. After all, he was not talented enough to be worth any notice. He would not get any decent results.
If all of the commotions had not happened, his results would just be him satisfying his curiosity. Unfortunately, many people were looking at them at that moment. If his results were bad, they would be mocked in various ways, which might also drag down Edgar. Since that was the case, he decided against getting tested.
Octavius laughed. “It looks like you finally realize the kind of vermin you are. You don’t want to embarrass yourself in front of us, right?”
Case and Jimmy, who was behind them, laughed as well. The three of them had a very good relationship with each other.
Jimmy had been quiet all the while not because he was a good person, but because he had just been waiting for the right time. He had wanted to continue with what Octavius was saying to make Edgar look worse, but Edgar had said something instead.
At that moment, he was already next to Marsha and patted him on the shoulder. There was no reason to continue arguing anymore.
Edgar looked at Octavius to say, “You’re going to target me, right?”
Octavius had thought that Edgar would turn around and run away, seeing how embarrassing his result was, yet Edgar actually asked that question, which only amused him.
