Case’s lips twitched. He decided to turn away, shooting a look at Octavius. Octavius nodded, and the two of them took their entrance passes and entered Cloud Valley. Only Jimmy was left behind, facing Morten.
Everyone looked at them, amused.
Looking at the three men, some people felt like Josef was shooting his foot. The man surely did not expect anyone to stay and keep an eye on him.
In truth, Josef did not even think about that at all. Since someone was there to look at him, he would simply allow it. It was not troublesome, anyway.
Josef said calmly, “You can follow me if you want, but don’t start talking nonsense. I don’t have the time to waste on you.”
After saying that, Josef left without turning around. The Killing Illusion Array was right on the other side.
Jimmy’s lips twitched, wanting to ridicule Abraham, but he did not want to be irritated in the process. Thus, he swallowed his words and followed behind, going toward the Killing Illusion Array. At that moment, everyone started to get interested.
Some people did not even bother queueing up anymore, deciding to follow them to watch what happened.
After all, Josef had been so confident as if everything he said would happen. Quite a few people wanted to see what would happen to Abraham, and wanted to witness how many stages he would be able to get past in the Killing Illusion Array.
A few people followed Josef and the others to the point that, in the end, it became a large gathering of people. All of them gathered where the Killing Illusion Array was.
The Killing Illusion Array was at a large circular plaza lit up with vibrant lights. The plaza was very wide, and there was a sea of people there.
The whole plaza had countless illusory stones around them.
Anyone who wanted to pass needed to put five million spirit crystals or the corresponding amount of purple gold into those stones to activate the Killing Illusion Array. Then, the person going through the test would need to sit on the illusory stone upon activation to go through the test.
They did not need to undergo the tests physically, of course. The illusory stone would form an exact clone of the person, sending the person into the Killing Illusion Array to go through the test. No matter how much damage one suffered in the illusion, their actual body would not be harmed.
Josef told Diana all about those rules on the way. As Josef’s subordinate, Diana did not receive all the rules when he entered Cloud City.
Diana finally understood what the Killing Illusion Array was.
He smiled and said, “That’s not bad. It saves time, effort, and trouble. Even if you get injured there, it won’t be too bad.”
Diana was happy for a moment before he turned to look at Jimmy behind them in annoyance.
Even though Jimmy did not dare to do anything to them, he was like a fly on the wall, annoying him with just his mere presence. Just looking at the guy made him think of how the three of them had humiliated him and Morten.
Diana said, “They should be happy that we can’t fight here, or you wouldn’t let them off easily!”
Josef smiled and said, “This is fine. As long as they keep to their word, they’ll pay the price.”
Diana looked up at Josef earnestly. “Abraham, I wasn’t acting out back there. That stone must be broken!”
He knew very well how strong Josef was. He refused to believe Josef was so strong with only 20% compatibility.
