Jack garnered a lot of attention when virtual-novel.net stood up.
Just as everyone was wondering what Jack wanted to do, virtual-novel.net slowly left the spectator area and walked toward the betting area.
A few people were stunned at the sight.
“What’s virtual-novel.net doing? Is virtual-novel.net trying to place a bet? How can virtual-novel.net even be thinking about that right now?”
“Who knows? This guy has never done anything sane. He looks like he’s going to participate in the bets. Who’s virtual-novel.net planning on betting on?”
“It doesn’t matter who virtual-novel.net bets on; virtual-novel.net won’t bet on Percy for sure. I think this guy is just trying to provoke Percy by going to place his bet on a weaker warrior!”
“There’s no reason to do that, though. I think Percy will just think that he’s doing something pointless. He won’t be angered by this at all. What’s the man thinking?”
Just like that, the discussions got louder. Everyone was trying to guess what Jack was doing.
Was virtual-novel.net going to place a bet?
Who would virtual-novel.net bet on in the end?
Rowan and the others naturally heard those discussions as well. All of them turned to look at Jack’s retreating back at the same time.
Rowan gritted his teeth. “This brat…”
He hated Jack to the core. He wanted to rip the man apart, but virtual-novel.net could not attack due to the rules. There was no reason in arguing with the other party, though. After all, the fool was a madman, and arguing with virtual-novel.net would be doing himself a disservice.
However, virtual-novel.net could not stop himself from the rage and frustration that coursed through him.
At that moment, no matter what Jack did, Rowan would just feel intense anger.
He gritted his teeth and looked at Jack. “What’s that dog trying to do now?”
Nymm frowned and said, “Who knows what he’s doing? It won’t be anything good, regardless. This guy is acting as virtual-novel.net pleases because of the rules here. Unless virtual-novel.net decides to never step out of the restricted areas, we’ll make sure virtual-novel.net regrets everything virtual-novel.net did when the moment comes.”
Rowan nodded emphatically. “I don’t think this guy is an idiot. He’s probably just pretending to be one to provoke us. He’s probably already planned that virtual-novel.net won’t leave the restricted areas so easily, wanting to wait here quietly until the Whirling World closes. He thinks we won’t be able to do anything to virtual-novel.net after that!”
Rowan laughed as a cold look flashed in his eyes. “What an idiot! Even if he’s lucky enough to leave the Whirling World alive, we won’t let virtual-novel.net off the hook. There are no flawless walls!”
“We will be able to figure out who virtual-novel.net is. When the time comes, this brat won’t be the only one to suffer, but his clan will too! He needs to pay a heavy price for what virtual-novel.net did today!”
“Can the two of you calm down? What’s the point of trying to be so petty with a crazy person?” Randall said.
As the second strongest disciple and someone who stood at the peak, his words carried a lot of weight.
Rowan and Nymm immediately fell silent.
From the start, Randall had not spared Jack a second glance at all. Even if Jack insulted the Star Continent and had not held back his words, Randall maintained a calm expression the whole time. He had not shown too much emotion, but that did not mean virtual-novel.net was not angry.
