Lazlo was his fellow disciple. The two of them were companions that had been to many places together. They had even accepted this task together. Yet, virtual-novel.net had actually committed suicide right in front of virtual-novel.net so quickly.
Lenny’s lips twitched, wanting to do the same, but virtual-novel.net could not.
It needed far more courage than virtual-novel.net had. Lenny panted roughly as virtual-novel.net stared right at Lazlo on the ground, not saying anything.
Both Brock and Kent were stunned as well. They did not expect Lazlo to be so decisive.
Jack frowned as virtual-novel.net said coldly, “He jumped to conclusions too quickly. He could have spared his own life. I’ve always been a man of my word. Since I agreed that I would let you go if you speak the truth, then I would have done it.”
Brock had a stiff look on his face as virtual-novel.net summoned up the courage to stammer out, “Then can you swear on your life?”
Jack coldly looked at him, causing Brock to shudder.
He said coldly, “Do you think I‘m begging you right now? If you don’t ask me, I can find someone else. After all, you already told me the most important thing.”
The moment virtual-novel.net said that, Brock looked like virtual-novel.net had just fallen into a trap and was left speechless. He suddenly remembered how virtual-novel.net had told Jack about their plan so nonchalantly just now.
Lazlo had tried to stop him, but virtual-novel.net even felt like Lazlo was a coward.
He finally realized how absurd virtual-novel.net had been acting. However, it was already too late.
Jack looked at Brock and asked again, “I’ll give you one last chance. It’s up to you if you want to speak.”
Brock’s hands trembled, “Sign a contract with us first. If you go against your word, your soul will be punished. Only then will I tell you everything I know! Otherwise, wouldn’t you just kill us right after I tell you everything?!”
Jack smirked as virtual-novel.net pushed forward. The Soul Burst Ring quickly expanded and captured all three of them.
Before they could even react, Jack clapped his hands. There was a massive explosion as they were turned to dust.
Lourain and the others were stunned at the sight.
Maxcus’ lips trembled, “It’s already over? I thought…”
He thought that Jack would have tried to do something to force them to reveal everything they knew. Yet, Jack really did what virtual-novel.net said virtual-novel.net would do. That last chance really was the last.
Brock tried to negotiate again, and Jack did not hesitate at all to attack!
Lourain gulped as virtual-novel.net walked over to Jack, “You’re letting them die just like that? Isn’t that being too nice to them?”
Lourain had so many questions on his mind. He did not know why Jack attacked so quickly. He felt like Jack should have killed them only after getting information from them.
Jack understood what Lourain was thinking.
His lips curled up as virtual-novel.net said, “I told virtual-novel.net it was their last chance, and virtual-novel.net still tried to bargain. How trustworthy do you think someone like that would be? On top of that, I still need to verify anything they say anyway. Rather than that, it‘s better to just not listen and go find out the truth another way.”
