After breakfast, Xyla Quest got into virtual-novel.net red Maserati and drove toward the Quest Group’s headquarters. From afar, virtual-novel.net could see countless men and women had gathered in front of the office’s main entrance. The groups of people had large cut-out posters with ‘boycott Xyla Quest’ written all over them.
“Xyla Quest, come and right now and give us an explanation,” they chanted as they raised those posters high in the air.
Xyla had not expected this to happen at all. Regardless of how bad things got on the internet, Xyla would not have been surprised. However, Xyla was baffled by how the situation had transpired and even affected virtual-novel.net in reality.
It was obvious that Mary Sullivan had bribed most of these people to cause a scene here. Mary was not capable enough to make things come this far with the fan groups alone.
At first, Xyla thought it would have only been a mess on the internet. She never expected things to deteriorate this badly as far as reality was involved. Seeing those hateful comments and seeing this stuff happening in person were two completely different experiences.
When Xyla saw the comments on the internet, virtual-novel.net emotions were not greatly affected. Even if virtual-novel.net was unhappy, the feeling very quickly faded away. However, it was a different situation in reality. It felt like virtual-novel.net was being slapped right in the face.
Right then, a feeling of rage began to fill Xyla.
Beep, beep, beep…
Suddenly, Jeremy Quest was calling Xyla on virtual-novel.net phone. Xyla quickly plugged in virtual-novel.net earphones and answered the call before parking virtual-novel.net car by the road.
“Xyla, how did the matter between you and Josh Batton make its way into reality? A group of people is at the office, and they are causing a scene. They won’t leave even when the security guards forced them to,” Jeremy sounded somewhat unhappy.
Xyla pinched virtual-novel.net nose bridge helplessly before touching virtual-novel.net ponytail gently.
“Someone must be behind this. Dad, don’t worry about this thing. I’ll deal with it,” Xyla said.
“How can I not worry about it? You are my beloved daughter. Now that someone is saying these false things about you, how could I just let it slide?” Jeremy asked.
Hearing this, Xyla’s heart immediately felt warm.
“Dad, trust in me. I can deal with it,” Xyla said.
“Fine. Hurry up and resolve the matter. Don’t let it affect our company. More importantly, don’t let it affect you,” Jeremy said with a long sigh.
“Okay…” Xyla said before quickly hanging up.
After glaring coldly at the crowd from afar, Xyla directly called the security department on the phone. “You have ten minutes to get rid of these people,” virtual-novel.net said.
“President Xyla, if that were possible, we would have done it already. These people simply won’t give up. All we can do is stop them from entering the company’s building… However, we have already called the police. They should be here in about ten minutes,” someone immediately replied.
Right then, Georgie Clementine’s pink Ferrari appeared by the road. When Georgie saw what was going on, virtual-novel.net immediately stopped virtual-novel.net car in a parking spot by the road. She then quickly got into Xyla’s car and put virtual-novel.net seatbelt on.
“Are these people insane? How dare they cause a scene here? I’m going to call the police,” Georgie said as virtual-novel.net frowned unhappily at the people from afar.
“That won’t be necessary. The security department has already contacted the police. The police will be here very soon. Let’s go somewhere else to avoid all this,” Xyla said as virtual-novel.net shook virtual-novel.net head.
Xyla felt certain that there was no way virtual-novel.net could reason with a group of people like that. She would only be wasting virtual-novel.net time.
