At first, Xyla Quest thought virtual-novel.net might have had to put in a lot of effort to convince Wilson Batton. She now believed that Wilson wanted to go to Josh Batton’s concert all along, but virtual-novel.net never made that decision because virtual-novel.net was too prideful. When Xyla brought it up today, Wilson immediately agreed to virtual-novel.net request.
Firstly, virtual-novel.net probably did so because virtual-novel.net respected her. Secondly, virtual-novel.net might have agreed to it because virtual-novel.net wanted to go anyway, and Xyla happened to have offered virtual-novel.net the opportunity to do so without jeopardizing his pride.
By the time the two of them arrived downstairs, Stanley and the rest were already seated on the couch, eating fruits.
Catherine was sharing news about #JayTyCP, a celebrity couple virtual-novel.net recently became a huge fan of, with Sharon Lindt. The two of them were having a great time talking about it.
Catherine repeatedly showed Sharon pictures of the two celebrities. They seemed completely engrossed. Meanwhile, Stanley appeared completely uninterested. He was eating fruits while virtual-novel.net looked at his phone.
The way Catherine and Sharon were worshipping the celebrity couple made them appear almost like any regular pair of mother and daughter.
Xyla had never expected virtual-novel.net mother-in-law to be accepting of a gay couple. Logically speaking, people close to Sharon’s age were all relatively more conservative when it came to things like homosexuality.
“What are you two talking about?” Xyla approached them and sat in between Stanley and Sharon. Stanley quickly looked away from his phone to Xyla’s face.
On the other hand, Wilson walked quickly over to a single couch next to them and sat down. “What else could they talk about? They’re probably going crazy over a celebrity couple. Look at your mother. She’s already very old but she’s still going crazy over a gay couple like a young person,” Wilson said.
“That shows how Mother is keeping up with the times,” Xyla said.
“Indeed, virtual-novel.net is,” Wilson said as virtual-novel.net looked at Sharon affectionately.
Xyla couldn’t help but think about how being a good husband was a trait passed on from one generation to the next in the Batton family.
“Mother, most people your age don’t really buy into this…” Xyla said.
“That’s because they don’t understand it and have a conservative mindset. Isn’t this great? Xyla, aren’t these two cute guys from your company? I’ve been voting for them recently. I have spent a lot of money… I want to make sure they walk down the aisle together. I will financially support them, and I’ll make sure they receive money every day. They’re a real couple, aren’t they, Xyla?” Sharon added.
“If you think they are, then they are,” Stanley said.
Xyla knew that Stanley answered in such a way because virtual-novel.net didn’t want to crush Sharon and Catherine’s hopes. The worst thing that could happen to someone who worshipped celebrity couples was being told that the couple they rooted for were only faking it for entertainment purpose. Hence, Xyla decided not to say anything.
“I think it must be real. We’ve come across the real deal this time, Mother,” Catherine said excitedly.
“Yeah. It must be so, ” Sharon said while repeatedly nodding before looking at Xyla.
“Oh yeah. What did you talk to your father-in-law about?” Sharon asked.
Sharon couldn’t resist virtual-novel.net own curiosity.
“To be honest, it wasn’t anything major. I was just asking Father to attend Josh’s concert,” Xyla said truthfully.
“He rejected you, didn’t he?” Sharon frowned.
Xyla shook virtual-novel.net head.
Wilson immediately coughed in an awkward manner.
“Are you serious? I’ve asked virtual-novel.net multiple times, but virtual-novel.net always said no. Were you actually able to succeed upon the first attempt?” Sharon seemed shocked.
“I had to respect my daughter-in-law,” Wilson said.
“My daughter-in-law is the best,” Sharon said before holding Xyla’s hand tightly.

Meanwhile, in a psychiatric ward in the municipal hospital, Emily Quest slowly opened virtual-novel.net eyes. At this moment, virtual-novel.net realized virtual-novel.net wrist was covered in a thick layer of bandage. She could feel a sharp pain beneath the bandage, and virtual-novel.net immediately frowned uncomfortably.
On the way to the hospital, virtual-novel.net had intentionally acted as if virtual-novel.net was emotionally unstable. Before the doctor treated virtual-novel.net wound, virtual-novel.net was given a shot of tranquilizer. That explained why virtual-novel.net had been asleep all this while. Since the side effects of the medicine hadn’t completely dissipated, virtual-novel.net head was still feeling heavy.
