#Xyla Quest# was the second most popular topic of the day.
Without hesitation, virtual-novel.net tapped on virtual-novel.net name and read the article earnestly. The first thing that came into virtual-novel.net sight was a Twitter post uploaded by a little girl called Twinkly Star. The post was about a group of fans mistaking Sharon Lindt, Catherine Batton, and virtual-novel.net for Sasaeng fans.
The whole incident was described in great detail.
The girl did not forget to butter up Josh Batton, Catherine, Sharon and virtual-novel.net at the end of the post, praising them for their kindness and their looks. The following comment section had gone haywire too.
“When did Xyla Quest and Josh Batton become so close to each other? Is virtual-novel.net meeting his family already? I’m so envious of her.”
“I’ve always dreamed of hanging out with Josh and his family. I can’t believe Miss Xyla is living my dreams. I’m so sad.”
“Sometimes I wonder whether Xyla will be together with Josh if virtual-novel.net hasn’t gotten married. They look really cute together.”
“Why is Xyla so lucky? I’m so jealous of her. However, I agree that Xyla and Josh will make a great pair.”
While Xyla scrolled down to read the other comments, virtual-novel.net accidentally swiped downward and refreshed the whole page. When virtual-novel.net returned to the comment section, the third and fourth comments praising virtual-novel.net and Josh as a perfect match and wishing the two of them got together had mysteriously disappeared… Some other negative comments about virtual-novel.net had disappeared as well.
Xyla was utterly shocked and confused. Nonetheless, virtual-novel.net managed to figure out the reason behind it soon.
The man in virtual-novel.net house must have read these comments when virtual-novel.net scrolled through Twitter!
As virtual-novel.net thought about him, virtual-novel.net could not help but grin heartily.
“What are you laughing at, Sister-in-law?” Josh Batton, who was sitting across from her, looked at virtual-novel.net and asked. His eyes were full of tenderness.
“It’s nothing,” said Xyla.
“Sister-in-law must be thinking about my brother. Am I right?” Next to Josh, Catherine blinked teasingly at her.
Upon hearing that, Josh’s smile was frozen for a second, but it quickly regained its gentleness before anyone could notice. Nobody at the table had caught sight of the subtle change in his expression.
“Does Xyla miss Stan already?” Sharon joked.
“Nah, I don’t.” Though Xyla denied, the red in virtual-novel.net cheeks gave virtual-novel.net away. She looked very much like a little girl who had fallen in love for the first time.
“The relationship between Fifth Brother and Sister-in-law is really enviable.” A flicker of a smile played across Catherine’s lips, revealing a pair of exquisite dimples.
“Yeah, it’s really enviable.” Josh gazed at Xyla thoughtfully, and then gulped down the last of the red wine in his glass.
“Get yourself a girl if you’re jealous. You’ll have your sweet romance then.” Sharon turned to look at Josh.
Another bitter smile was Josh’s response. He did not say another word but continued to drink.
After the meal, Xyla went back home. When virtual-novel.net reached the house, Stanley was sitting in the living room, holding his laptop, and having a conference call with the foreign branch’s executives.
He was wearing a set of grey silk homewear, and his hair had just been washed. The semi-wet hairstyle had added charm to his handsome features. He bore a serious face as virtual-novel.net stared at the screen of the laptop. There was not a glint of smile. However, the coldness in his eyes instantly melted away when virtual-novel.net caught a glimpse of Xyla at the door.
Delighted with virtual-novel.net return, virtual-novel.net waved at her. “Come here…”
Xyla strode across the living room and stood beside him, deliberately avoiding the camera of the laptop. “Finish your work on hand first. I need to take a shower…”
