“Miranda… You really do look like her.” The man was murmuring to himself, and he had a deepening frown on his face.
He had seen many people throughout the years, but he had never met one who looked so much like Miranda. Xyla Quest had an uncanny resemblance to Miranda. His words ascertained Xyla’s thoughts.
From what Xyla heard, she was beginning to feel more certain about the guess she made. In fact, she was starting to think that Miranda was someone this man loved very much in the past. For some reason, he lost her, and Xyla happened to look a lot like that woman.
A sense of hope sparked in Xyla’s heart.
Xyla took a deep breath and continued to fight against her sexual urges while she started pleading with the man again. “Can you let me go on the basis that I look a lot like her? I’ll repay you,” Xyla said.
“Why do you think I’d let you go just because you look like her?” The man looked at Xyla’s face seriously. After some time, his eyes began to wander.
“Because of the look in your eyes and your tone of voice,” Xyla said carefully after taking a deep breath.
She was looking at his face with an intense gaze.
“Okay… I’ll let you go,” the man said without hesitation.
After that, he took out a small white pill from a drawer and put it close to her lips. However, Xyla didn’t open her month because she feared this might be harmful to her. She kept her upper and lower rows of teeth clenched together tightly.
“It’s an antidote… If you don’t eat it, do you think I’ll still be able to hold back after side effects kick in later? I’ll count to three. If you don’t eat it, I’ll start doing things to you…” He said.
Hearing this, Xyla instantly opened her mouth and obediently swallowed the pill. The cool peppermint flavor spread in her mouth, and she could taste something a little sweet. The pill melted as soon as it entered her mouth. Very soon, Xyla could feel her strength returning. The sexual urges in her body also instantly vanished.
It felt as if someone had poured a cold bucket of water on her during a hot summer day. There was an instant sensation of relief all over her body.
He wasn’t lying.
“I didn’t lie to you, did I?” The man smiled. By now, the tears in his eyes had also disappeared.
Xyla nodded slightly. “Could you get me off the cruise ship?” Xyla asked carefully.
“Should I also do that because you look a lot like Miranda?” He asked, his eyes narrowed.

Now, they were in the middle of nowhere out in the open sea. If he refused to help her leave, there was no way Xyla could escape.
“I sure could do that… But don’t you want your revenge first?” He said.
“Are you going to help me with my revenge, too?” Xyla felt confused.
She hadn’t expected the man to be willing to do this much for her all because of how she looked. In fact, she couldn’t help but suspect he might have ulterior motives… After all, she had no clue what this man’s personality was like and what sort of background he came from.
“Yeah. Don’t overthink. I’m only doing this because of how you look I know you have your suspicions, but I’ll prove it to you,” he said before giving a command to someone outside the door.
“Come in, someone,” he ordered.
A bald, middle-aged man opened the door and stood respectfully by it.
“What can I do for you, Master Lancelot?” He asked.
“Bring me Ada and all her goons,” the man said before he lit a cigarette and placed it in between his lips. He lazily pressed one hand against the bed.
With the smoke swirling around his face, he seemed even more mafia-like.
