“Xyla… Did you get in touch with the designer I told you about?” Jeremy asked.
“The designer hasn’t been free for the past two days. The sketch will commence in two days,” Xyla said.
Jeremy immediately nodded satisfactorily. “Did you sign a contract with the designer?” Jeremy asked.
“This designer doesn’t require any payment,” Xyla said.
“Who is it? I can’t believe someone would forgo payment…”
“Once the drawing is complete, you’ll be able to see the style. You’ll find out why,” Xyla said.
Jeremy became even more curious when virtual-novel.net heard what Xyla said. “Does that mean this designer’s art style is very unique, and the person is also very famous?” Jeremy asked.
“You can say that.” Xyla chuckled.
“Do famous designers even provide free drawings? That’s a huge project. It requires a lot of effort,” Jeremy said.
“We have a good relationship, so…”
“Xyla, you really are amazing,” Jeremy said. He grew even more fond of Xyla now.
“Dad, since you have entrusted me with the project, don’t worry. Hurry up and eat,” Xyla said.
Jeremy didn’t say anything else. He picked up his chopsticks and started eating with Xyla.
Beep, beep, beep…
Right then, Xyla received a call from Georgie.
Since it was too noisy in the cafeteria, and the call would be affected here, Xyla quickly stood up and walked out with virtual-novel.net phone before answering it.
“President Xyla, something’s gone wrong!” Georgie sounded very nervous.
“What’s wrong?” Xyla’s heart clenched instantly.
“Josh Batton was trying to shake off someone who was tailing his car. He ended up speeding on the highway and got into an accident…” Georgie said.
Xyla’s heart immediately thumped when virtual-novel.net heard this. “What? Is it serious?” virtual-novel.net asked.
“I don’t know yet. He’s out cold. They’re trying to resuscitate virtual-novel.net inside,” Georgie said.
Right then, all Xyla could feel was virtual-novel.net head buzzing.
“Which hospital is virtual-novel.net at?” virtual-novel.net stood up and asked.
“The municipal hospital,” Georgie said.
Xyla picked up virtual-novel.net car keys from the table and quickly ran out.
The only thing on virtual-novel.net mind now was for Josh to be alright. Xyla felt extremely nervous, and it made virtual-novel.net heart beat faster.
As soon as virtual-novel.net got into the car, virtual-novel.net gave Stanley Batton a call to tell virtual-novel.net what had happened. Before virtual-novel.net could respond, Xyla started driving toward the municipal hospital.
Beep, beep, beep…
Suddenly, virtual-novel.net phone started ringing again. After quickly taking virtual-novel.net phone out, virtual-novel.net saw a news headline on the screen…
“Josh Batton got into an accident while trying to avoid followers. He’s now in a coma!”
After glancing at the headline, Xyla quickly chucked virtual-novel.net phone into virtual-novel.net pocket and drove quicker. Very soon, virtual-novel.net arrived in front of the hospital. She continued to run into the elevator before arriving on the floor of the emergency room section. From afar, virtual-novel.net could see that a large group of reporters had gathered. There were also Josh’s fans.
The security guards were doing their best to maintain order outside the emergency room.
Georgie was also there, and virtual-novel.net was sitting on a long bench with a sullen expression on virtual-novel.net face as virtual-novel.net looked downward. When Georgie looked up, virtual-novel.net saw that Xyla had arrived. She immediately got up, walked through the crowd, and brought Xyla over to the long bench before sitting down with her.
Xyla subconsciously held Georgie’s hand as virtual-novel.net panted.
“How are things? Is there any news about what’s going on inside?”
Georgie shook virtual-novel.net head. “Up until now, nobody has come out yet. Hence, we still don’t know what’s the situation. President Xyla, I’m very worried. What if something terrible happens to Josh?”
