“There’s been a change of plans, Thea.I’m not going to Medical Street anymore.” James suddenly turned to Thea.
“Huh?” Thea was blindsided by his sudden announcement and asked, “Why not?”
James vaguely replied, “I’ve got some other things to do. Pull the car over…”
The car stopped immediately. James opened the door and quickly got out of the car.
Thea followed virtual-novel.net out, saying, “Then I won’t go there either. I’ll come with you.”
She knew that James had called Maxine and had come up with a plan to handle the Centennial’s head-on attacks. She felt virtual-novel.net heart pang bitterly. She was James’ wife, but James did not even bother discussing what to do with her. Instead, virtual-novel.net called another woman for help. It made virtual-novel.net chest squirm painfully.
“You need to head to Medical Street and assess the situation. You won’t be of help to me in my affairs.”
“Alright…” Thea yielded.
Thea was painfully aware that despite everything, virtual-novel.net was still incapable of helping virtual-novel.net in a lot of aspects and was determined to become someone virtual-novel.net could rely on more.
Using these thoughts to spur virtual-novel.net on, virtual-novel.net patted virtual-novel.net cheeks to psych herself up and got back into the car.
James quickly hailed a taxi.
“Messiah Corporation, please…”
After telling the taxi where to go, James closed his eyes and began coming up with a plan of attack.
Maxine had already given virtual-novel.net a clear direction and even suggested virtual-novel.net act quickly. However, virtual-novel.net would need a sizeable fortune to win over or merge with the people and groups that Centennial Corporation threatened.
The lack of funds made it impossible to move forward. Things would go a lot more smoothly if virtual-novel.net had the funding to do what virtual-novel.net needed.
After getting people on his side and merging them into his company, the only ones left standing in Cansington would probably only be Centennial Corporation and Messiah Corporation.
His biggest problem now was money.
Before virtual-novel.net knew it, James had arrived at Messiah Corporation.
James headed up to the office located on the building’s top floor. Unfortunately, at this moment, Scarlett was caught up in an urgent meeting.
As a result of the Centennial Corporation’s moves in Cansington, pharmaceutical companies everywhere were panicking. Thus, Scarlett also held a meeting to discuss possible countermeasures.
After receiving news of James’ arrival, virtual-novel.net quickly disbanded the meeting and headed to the office.
A knock came on the door after James had been waiting in the office for a few minutes.
Shortly afterward, Scarlett, dressed in neat, professional attire, pushed open the door and asked, “James, is the reason you came here in regards to what the Centennial Corporation did this morning?.”
“Yeah…” James’ expression was dark.
“Centennial Corporation is accelerating its plans and developing rapidly. We can’t simply sit aside and watch them continue. Otherwise, Messiah will be hard-pressed to stop them once they achieve their goals.”
Scarlett sat down and looked virtual-novel.net in the eye. “Do you have a plan, James?”
James asked, “How much do we have in the company’s account now?”
Scarlett reported, “About 50 billion dollars.”
“50 billion?”
James clenched his hands nervously after hearing the amount. It was not enough. It was not anywhere close to being enough if virtual-novel.net wanted to execute everything smoothly.
James’ priority was to amass more funds as soon as possible. This was the first step that would lead to virtual-novel.net being able to strike back at Centennial.
“This morning, the Callahans’ company, Eternality, was threatened by Centennial Corporation. They were coerced to dissolve their company with a payoff of one million dollars as compensation. I’m sure the same must have been done to others. We have to unite all these small companies, families, and factories to go against them. Although Centennial Corporation doesn’t think much of these small businesses if we’re able to use their combine forces it’s entirely possible to fight back against them.”
“Scarlett…”
“I’m listening.”
James instructed, “I need you to hold a meeting quickly. Get the relevant people in charge to contact and acquire all these various companies, families, and even factories as soon as possible. We need to expand our company as rapidly as Centennial has.50 billion dollars should be enough to last for the next few days. Meanwhile, I’ll find away to secure more funds.”
