Jordan was taken aback by the news that Nanako had bought a house in Thompson First Villas. He looked at her with a curious expression and asked, “When did you buy it? And which villa did you purchase?”
Nanako smiled, replying, “I bought an apartment on the second to last floor of a building.”
Then she added, “Honestly, I wanted to buy a more classic villa, but Tanaka-san has been here for a few days and hasn’t found a suitable house. So, he ended up purchasing a high-rise apartment for me yesterday as a temporary solution.”
Jordan nodded lightly, a smile playing on his lips. “Looks like we’re going to be neighbors now. You’re more than welcome to settle in Aurous Hill,” he said.
Nanako had always known that Jordan held her in high esteem. He had a soft spot for her, but she didn’t think much of it.
In his heart, Jordan considered Nanako a trusted friend, someone whose personality and conversations were perfectly aligned with his own.
Now that Nanako had purchased a house in Thompson First Villas, it meant she would be visiting Aurous Hill more frequently, a prospect that brought joy to Jordan’s heart.
Nanako’s voice turned shy as she said, “I may not be coming to China as often for the time being. My family still has some matters to attend to. However, if the opportunity arises in the future, I can consider moving the company to China gradually.”
Jordan nodded and replied with a serious tone, “If you’re really considering such an idea, it’s okay. In the future, whether it’s the Wade family business or my own, there will be plenty of opportunities for the Ito family to collaborate with us.”
Jordan had a soft spot for Nanako, and he hoped she would stay in Aurous Hill forever.
Nanako had always supported Astor, never holding back in her efforts to integrate her family’s shipping resources with Jordan’s to establish BAIT Shipping. Not only that, but she also gave her family’s shares in the company to Jordan without any hesitation.
Jordan was grateful for Nanako’s contributions to the business and hoped to find the right opportunity to repay her and her family in kind.
When Nanako expressed her concern about moving to Aurous Hill, Jordan surprised her by saying he wanted her to stay and even suggested moving her company’s headquarters to Aurous Hill. This news filled Nanako with delight as she could finally put her plan to shift the focus of her company to Aurous Hill into action.
Overwhelmed with happiness, Nanako couldn’t help but express her joy, saying, “If Mr. Wade welcomes me, I’ll make all the necessary preparations to move here for good.”
Jordan smiled warmly and replied, “Of course, I welcome you.”
Nanako beamed with joy, nodding her head in agreement, “Thank you, Moses. I’ll work on a good plan with my dad. However, the company is massive, and I’ll need to transfer it to Aurous Hill gradually. It might take one or two years to complete the process. But our first task is to find a suitable site in Aurous Hill.”
Jordan responded nonchalantly, “That’s easy. Emgrand Group has numerous properties in Aurous Hill. When I hosted the pill auction, the Moore Group developed several commercial real estate properties. The Ito family can choose from those properties. If you don’t like those options, you can always use them temporarily while working with Aurous Hill officials to buy land and build your own site.”
Nanako knew that Jordan had made a considerable fortune from the Rejuvenation Pill auction and invested a significant portion of it in Aurous Hill for development.
Curiosity got the best of her, and she asked, “Astor, will there be another Rejuvenation Pill auction next year? If there is, Aurous Hill is bound to attract top foreign enterprises, maybe even establishing a new financial center.”
Jordan let out a sigh and shook his head, saying, “We won’t be holding the auction next year, at least not for the time being.”
Jordan’s expression turned serious as he replied, “To be honest, we have a critical issue that needs to be addressed before we hold another Pill Auction. If we continue, it could backfire on us. We’ll have to wait until we solve this problem.”
