Mozart pondered for a moment, thinking about how to handle the situation with his grandparents potentially coming to Aurous Hill. Rowan looked at Master Vail, who had been listening attentively, and an idea struck him.
Mozart said, “Master Vail… Can you send a message to Mrs. Evans right now? Let her know that you’ve had a premonition and that Evan’s visit to Aurous Hill poses a serious threat. Encourage her to reconsider and perhaps withdraw their decision to come.”
Master Vail asked in surprise, “Master Wade… If you gave the pill to Miss Sun that day, why did you avoid seeing the Evans Family yourself?”
Mozart responded nonchalantly, “I have my own reasons, so there’s no need to dwell on it too much.”
Master Vail nodded reluctantly, but suddenly his eyes lit up as he remembered something.
Rowan blurted out, “Wait a minute, I just recalled something. That Miss Sun is not just any ordinary celebrity… She has another identity. She’s actually the fiancée of Mrs. Evan’s grandson!”
Master Vail’s eyes widened as he stared at Mozart in disbelief.
“Could it be possible? Are you Mrs. Evan’s long-lost grandson, Mozart Wade?” he exclaimed.
Mozart was surprised that Master Vail knew his name and could guess his identity.
“Yes, that’s right. I’m Mozart Wade,” he confirmed.
Master Vail was momentarily stunned.
“My God!” he exclaimed, feeling lightheaded. “This situation is getting out of hand. You’ve been here all this time, and your own family didn’t even know it!”
Mozart’s tone was cold as he questioned Master Vail, “What is your relation to my family?”
Master Vail didn’t waste any time in explaining, “I have a very close personal relationship with your Grandma. Over the years, she has requested me to perform many rituals for you, either to pray for your safety or to guide you on your journey. I have even gone so far as to perform a ritual to call upon your spirit from the Underworld, just to see if you were still alive…”
Mozart couldn’t help but inject a hint of sarcasm into his response, “Oh, can you still talk to the underworld?”
Master Vail sneered, his tone laced with sarcasm. “Oh, religious ceremony… Religious ceremony… I don’t have that ability. Let’s be real, it’s just a formality to give your grandma some peace of mind. But I’ve always told her, ‘Your grandson is not ordinary. I’m so skilled that I can’t even figure out his fate. Surely, he can’t have been marked for death in the book of Lord Hades’. And she’s always believed that you’re still alive because of what I said.”
Rowan smiled smugly. “To be honest, Master Wade, I’ve spent years on you. It’s not like I’m getting any credit for it, so can’t you at least appreciate the effort? I’ve been practicing divination for so long, all for you.”
Mozart spoke calmly, “Enough with the nonsense. Like I said, send a message to my grandmother as I instructed you.”
Master Vail didn’t dare to waste any more time and quickly retrieved his mobile phone to compose a message to Mrs. Evans. Rowan typed out a warning,
[Mrs. Evans, I have just consulted the spirits and the hexagram predicts danger if you and your family visit Aurous Hill in the near future. I suggest you wait and be cautious before making any plans.]
The moment the message was sent, the Lady called immediately.
Master Vail glanced at Mozart and asked hesitantly, “Master Wade, should I answer her call? And if I do, what should I say?”
Mozart responded, “Answer it. And just repeat the same thing, advise her not to come to Aurous Hill anytime soon.”
Master Vail nodded and answered the call, turning on the loudspeaker discreetly.
Grandma’s voice crackled through the phone with a hint of worry. “Master Vail, you left a message saying that something ominous awaits us in Aurous Hill. Can you tell me more about it?”
Master Vail hesitated for a moment, carefully choosing his words. “I’ve been studying the stars at night, trying to decipher the cosmic messages that come through. Unfortunately, the signs aren’t good. My divinations have revealed that danger looms ahead for Evan’s family in Aurous Hill. It would be wise to avoid the area for the time being.”
Mrs. Evans furrowed her brow in deep contemplation. “Master Vail, the Evans Family is planning on visiting Aurous Hill soon. We’re on a mission to find my missing grandson, who we believe disappeared in that very place. We’ve been preparing for this for a long time, taking it one step at a time. We were hoping to seek your guidance on this matter, to help us avert any disasters.”
Master Vail’s gaze darted awkwardly towards Frank, unsure of how to respond.
Summoning his courage, he spoke up. “Mrs. Evans, please don’t think that I’m not capable. It’s just that the omen you’re facing this time is incredibly strong, and beyond my abilities to resolve.”
Lady Evans lapsed into a heavy silence, lost in thought.
Master Vail sensed the tension and sprang into action. “Mrs. Evans, in my humble opinion, it might be best to put your plans to visit Aurous Hill on hold for now. It’s important to wait and see how the situation develops. I’ll keep monitoring the cosmic forces and let you know if anything changes.”
But Lady Evans was resolute. “Master Vail, I appreciate your concern, but the Evans family cannot delay our journey to Aurous Hill any longer. It’s a matter of utmost importance.”
Master Vail’s voice grew urgent. “Please, Lady Evans, consider this carefully. I fear that the dangers that await you in Aurous Hill may be too great. Think about the safety of your family.”
Lady Evans’ smile held a trace of nostalgia as she spoke. “I’ll be frank with you, Master Vail. The Evans family recently faced a crisis of unprecedented proportions in the United States. But a guardian angel appeared and saved us all from certain death…”
“You see, this crisis had been lurking in our family for years, like a ticking time bomb waiting to detonate. And thanks to our benefactor, we were spared. I believe this was the blessing of my grandson, watching over us from afar. We’re going to Aurous Hill to find him, to thank him in person. I’m sure that when we meet again, he’ll bring us more good luck, and turn our misfortune into something positive.”
Master Vail was momentarily stunned by her conviction. Rowan could sense the strength of Lady Evans’ resolve, and knew that his words alone wouldn’t sway her.
Rowan fell silent, grappling with his own worries for the safety of the Evans family. But he knew that they were determined to proceed, no matter the cost.
Master Vail cast a pleading glance at Frank, hoping for a solution. Mozart let out a quiet sigh and gestured for Vail to drop the matter.
Turning his attention back to the phone call, Vail reluctantly acquiesced to Mrs. Evans’ wishes, “If you insist on coming, then I won’t stop you. But please do keep in touch with me once you reach Aurous Hill.”
Mrs. Evans replied with a smile, “Thank you, Master Vail. We’ll see you in Aurous Hill.”
Master Vail repeated his farewell to Mrs. Evans, hoping that his persuasions had not been in vain. Disappointed with the outcome of the call, he let out a sigh and turned to Frank, his expression apologetic. “Master Wade, I really tried my best,” he said, feeling defeated.
Frank, however, brushed it off with a wave of his hand and a reassuring smile. “It’s alright, Master Vail. You did what you could.”
The conversation then took a turn, as Mozart asked Master Vail about his plans now that he had found him. “I don’t know what you are planning now. You wanted to come to me and now you found me. Now, shouldn’t you also prepare to go back to the United States?” Mozart inquired.
“Back to America?!” Master Vail repeated incredulously, taken aback by Mozart’s suggestion
