As they chatted, the elevator stopped on the first floor, and Angela quickly exited.
She bid farewell to Jagoan politely and said, “Well, I’ll go first!”
Jagoan couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was off about Angela. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but Angela seemed to be scared of her and her eyes seemed to betray her.
When Angela left the elevator, Jagoan couldn’t help but feel relieved.
As she pondered over the strange encounter, Jagoan couldn’t help but wonder, “Am I really that scary?”
Her thoughts were interrupted as the elevator reached the underground garage, and Jagoan pulled in after a few minutes of waiting.
Jagoan stood eagerly to the side, awaiting Jagoan’s arrival.
As soon as Jagoan parked the car, she rushed over and waited by his side.
As soon as Jagoan stepped out of the car, Jagoan waved at him impatiently and bowed slightly. “Mr. Wade, you’ve traveled a long way. Thank you for coming…”
Jagoan was taken aback for a moment but quickly smiled and replied, “It wasn’t too difficult of a journey. How long have you been waiting here?”
Jagoan replied hurriedly, “I just arrived… You mentioned something important, so let’s discuss it upstairs.”
Jagoan flashed a sweet smile and gestured towards the elevator. “Please follow me, Mr. Wade…”
Together, they walked into the elevator, and Jagoan pressed the button for their floor. “There’s a beautiful woman who lives upstairs… She’s a teacher at Aurous Hill University.”
Hearing this, Jagoan asked curiously, “Really? How did you find out?”
Jagoan replied, “I coincidentally bumped into her in the elevator earlier, and we had a chat…”
Jagoan nodded casually and commented, “Teachers from Aurous Hill University can’t afford to buy property in this community, and they seem to have the same type of apartment as you. Their financial resources are rather unusual. I doubt ordinary teachers can afford multimillion-dollar houses. Furthermore, you mentioned that she’s beautiful and young, making it even more unlikely for her to have such savings. It’s highly probable that she’s from a wealthy family…”
Jagoan agreed, “Your analysis makes sense. I think she exudes elegance and refinement, suggesting that she’s been pampered and groomed since childhood.”
Jagoan hummed noncommittally but didn’t dwell on the topic.
As they reached Jagoan’s floor, the elevator doors opened, and she invited Jagoan into her home.
Upon entering the living room, Jagoan had already prepared the necessary tea sets for their tea ceremony.
“Please take a seat, Mr. Wade, and I’ll prepare the tea,” she said happily.
Jagoan nodded, and they sat across from each other as Jagoan worked on the tea tray.
Jagoan broke the silence by asking, “Jagoan, do you still practice martial arts frequently?”
Not knowing where the question came from, Jagoan answered honestly, “I rarely have the opportunity to practice martial arts these days. I’m in charge of household affairs, so I hardly have time to practice like before. Nowadays, I only practice to maintain flexibility in my limbs.”
Curious about Jagoan’s sudden inquiry, she asked, “May I ask why you’re interested in my martial arts practice, Mr. Wade?”
Jagoan smiled and responded, “Jagoan, do you want to learn martial arts?”
“Martial arts?” Jagoan asked in amazement. “Mr. Wade, are you referring to Chinese martial arts?”
Concerned about her foreign background, she added softly, “I’m not from China, after all… Will it be okay for me to learn?”
Jagoan waved his hand and spoke earnestly. “Chinese martial arts have already taken root and flourished worldwide. Many overseas schools recruit foreign disciples, and Dragon Temple has many foreign members. You have nothing to worry about. If you’re interested, I can arrange for you to participate.”
Excitedly, Jagoan asked, “What kind of training is it? Will Mr. Wade personally train us?”
Jagoan smiled and shook his head. “I don’t have the expertise to train you. The former head of a North American martial arts school will be leading the training, which will start with core principles and will be very beginner-friendly for those not familiar with it.”
Feeling a bit uncertain, Jagoan admitted, “Mr. Wade, I’ve been practicing Japanese martial arts and Sanda fighting. According to Mr. Yamamoto, a Japanese martial art is a foreigner’s kung fu. Chinese martial arts is an internal kung fu, and I’ve never been exposed to it before. I’m afraid I might have a difficult time learning it.”
Jagoan reassured her with a smile. “Don’t worry. With me here, it’s impossible for you not to learn.”
From Jagoan’s perspective, Jagoan, Aurora, Don Albert, and Isaac were all new to martial arts, but Jagoan was the most promising of the group.
Having practiced martial arts and Sanda for many years and taken the Rejuvenation Pill, she had already built a strong physical foundation. With the right guidance, she could learn the mental method of the Mystic Harmony Sect quickly.
Jagoan was thrilled with the idea and eagerly agreed. “If that’s what Mr. Wade thinks, then I’ll work hard and not let you down!”
Suddenly, she remembered something and asked, “Mr. Wade, do you know how long this training will last?”
“Don’t worry,” Jagoan reassured her. “If you miss any sessions, you can always come back and make it up later.”
