Master Vail showered Jagoan with praise, but she remained humble, bowing deeply before responding, “Thank you for your kind words, Master Vail. Compared to you, I am merely a beginner. I cannot call myself a martial arts genius. Now that I have discovered a new method of introspection, I must work even harder.”
Master Vail nodded approvingly. “Talent is important, but good technique and humility are equally crucial in martial arts. You possess both the technique and the humility, Ms. Ito. Your future is limitless!”
Jagoan bowed again. “Thank you for your affirmation, Master Vail. I will do my best!”
As Master Vail suggested taking a lunch break, Jagoan shook her head with a smile. “I won’t go, Master Vail. I need to continue consolidating my progress.”
Aurora quickly chimed in, “Then I won’t go either! I want to try Jagoan’s method.”
Master Vail didn’t know what they were discussing, assuming that Jagoan had shared some experience with Aurora.
He smiled and said, “Very well, if the two of you continue to encourage and help each other, you will achieve great results.”
With that, he bid them farewell. “I won’t disturb you two any longer. Let’s continue in the afternoon.”
The two of them quickly bid farewell to Master Vail before hurrying back to their futons.
Without hesitation, Aurora sat down cross-legged and exclaimed with excitement, “Jagoan, I’m going to try your method right now!”
Jagoan nodded in agreement. “Remember, focus on nothing else. Brainwash yourself into believing that your soul has truly left your body. Don’t let anything disturb you. Once you find that high place in your heart, take a leap, and you’ll definitely experience a breakthrough!”
Excitedly, Aurora nodded and expressed her gratitude towards Jagoan.
She admired Jagoan’s willingness to share her breakthrough with her, even explaining all the details. It was a rarity for people to disclose their secrets, but Jagoan didn’t hold back.
The two girls didn’t waste any more time exchanging polite words. Aurora immediately began to concentrate on her breakthrough, following Jagoan’s instructions.
Meanwhile, Jagoan quietly retrieved her mobile phone from under the futon and turned off airplane mode. She quickly sent a message to Jagoan, not wanting to waste any time.
Jagoan glanced at her mobile phone and saw Jagoan’s fingers flying across the screen. His pocket immediately vibrated, and he knew it must be a message from her.
He pulled out his phone and read her message, “Mr. Wade, I have great news to share with you!”
Jagoan played it cool and replied, “What good news? I’m all ears.”
Jagoan responded, “I’ve mastered the method of looking into the meridians and circulating true energy! I’m officially a warrior!”
Jagoan feigned surprise, “Really?! Breaking through to become a warrior so quickly seems too fast.”
Jagoan giggled, “Master Vail said I progressed quickly, but I think it’s thanks to the elixir you gave me before. It must have laid the groundwork for me to start so quickly!”
Jagoan clarified, “The pills can only enhance your physical fitness and open up your meridians. But if you can’t master the meridians’ use, even if I open all your meridians, you won’t be able to move your true energy. Your talent is impressive, there’s no doubt about that.”
Hearing this, Jagoan’s cheeks flushed with shyness.
She bit her lip and stared at her phone for what seemed like an eternity before finally gathering the courage to ask, “Mr. Wade, do you have time tonight? I want to take you out for a meal and personally thank you!”
Jagoan was taken aback, “Thank me? Why?”
Jagoan replied with a grateful smile, “You’ve helped me so much, even arranging for me to learn martial arts here. Now that I’ve started, it’s only right to treat you to a meal. There’s a thank-you banquet, and I’d be honored if you could attend.”
Jagoan considered her offer for a moment, then quickly replied, “No problem. Tell me the time, and I’ll be there.”
Jagoan’s face lit up, “Master Vail teaches until six every day. How about eight o’clock?”
“Sounds good,” Jagoan replied. “In the meantime, keep practicing hard. I’ll see you tonight.”
Jagoan beamed with excitement, “See you tonight!”
Jagoan knew Jagoan was eager to practice, so he didn’t want to disturb her.
He replied, “You should practice hard first. We’ll talk more about it when we meet tonight.”
After that, she refocused her mind and began to circulate her true energy.
Without greeting Master Vail again, Jagoan slipped out of Elys-Champ Hot Spring. No one saw him as everyone was headed towards the restaurant.
On his way back, he kept thinking about the fascinating scene Jagoan had described to Aurora. Even though he wasn’t a warrior, he could try it out using Jagoan’s experience. If he could achieve that state, it would be beneficial to him.
Suddenly, his cell phone rang. It was Lisa calling.
“Brother Jagoan, what have you been up to lately?” Lisa asked.
Jagoan smiled and replied, “Busy with all sorts of things. What’s up? What do you need me to do?”
“Aurous Hills University is about to start, and Claudia will be registering tomorrow. Do you want to come with me to accompany her to school?” Lisa asked.
Jagoan was surprised, “Registering so soon?”
Lisa excitedly announced, “Today is August 24th, and the first-year students of Aurous Hills University will start registering tomorrow! After registration, they’ll immediately begin military training.”
Jagoan realized that he wasn’t a freshman and freshmen usually started school earlier since they had two weeks of military training. He thought about how Claudia had no other family besides Aunt Lewis, Lisa, and himself. Claudia would be registering for school tomorrow, so he knew he had to be there for her.
Without hesitation, Jagoan readily agreed, “No problem, I’ll pick you up by car tomorrow. What time do you plan on leaving?”
Lisa replied, “Don’t worry. There are two days to report, so we can arrive at any time, probably in the morning. It’ll be busiest then, so why don’t we leave a bit later, around ten o’clock?”
Jagoan said, “Sounds good… Do we need to prepare any daily necessities for Claudia? Did she get assigned a dorm?”
Lisa hummed and replied, “Aunt Lewis has already prepared everything for her, and she’ll be accompanying Claudia tomorrow. You just need to drive and come with us.”
“Got it,” Jagoan said with a smile. “I’ll pick you up at your house around 9:30 tomorrow morning.”
“Deal!” Lisa said with enthusiasm.
