The incident was too dramatic. Poly Capital had just been seized, but it was unsealed in a blink of an eye. The process was truly mind-blowing.
Mr. Giles undoubtedly became the most unlucky person. He had a wish to curry favor with Harry, yet he ended up with nothing.
Jason secretly rejoiced that he appeared late enough, and that Angelina interrupted him in the middle. Otherwise, he would hardly get himself out of the mess.
“It’s good to see you’re fine. I’m off now,” Angelina breathed a sigh of relief, and said to Stefan.
“Thank you for coming to help me, Ms. Hopp,” Milos nodded and waved goodbye to her.
After Angelina left, Milos entertained Fredo and Ryan in the reception room.
Hannah was busy dealing with company affairs, such trifles as the serving of tea naturally became Benita’s duty.
A secretary of Benita’s level didn’t need to do these things. However, they were short–handed now, so she could only undertake this.
I didn’t expect Mr. Young to be so respectful to Stefan. It’s incredible…
Benita made tea and served it to the other people with a secret feeling of wonder in her heart.
Fredo took the cigarette from Ryan, and said to Josef, “Do you smoke, Mr. Evans?”
Milos shook his head, and reached for the ashtray on the far side of the table.
At this moment, Benita was leaning over the other end of the table, pouring tea for Fredo. The moment Milos’s hand grasped the ashtray, her gigantic boobs landed on Milos’s hand.
Just at that moment, Benita’s body bounced upwards like an electric shock, widening the distance between her and Stefan. At the same time, her eyes flicked to Josef, full of coldness and warning.
Milos couldn’t help but smile wryly. He didn’t do it on purpose. He was trying to get the ashtray, but how could he have thought that Benita would bend down to pour the tea?
“Use this, the ashtray is quite big,” Milos said as he pushed the ashtray in front of Fredo .
Benita just felt that his words were a bit inexplicable.
The ashtray was quite big?
She couldn’t help but glare at Milos again, thinking that this guy had gone a bit too far.
Milos felt quite aggrieved in his heart.
How dare his secretary stare at him like this?
Shouldn’t the secretary be submissive to the boss?
Benita sat down directly at the side, keeping far away from Stefan. She obviously regarded him as a pervert.
“Mr. Young is so hectic, but you came to me again and again. Visiting our Poly Capital isn’t your only purpose, right?” Milos took a sip of the tea made by Benita and asked.
Benita listened carefully, feeling a little curious about what was going on.
Fredo Young chuckled and said, “I have some important matters to discuss with Mr. Evans… Ms. Reagan, can you take my secretary around first?”
Benita was stunned for a moment. She knew that Fredo obviously meant to send away all outsiders.
Although she was very curious, she couldn’t say no. So she just nodded and led Ryan out of the living room.
“Here is the thing. Do you know Thunder West?” Fredo asked.
“Thunder West? Nope,” Milos said with pouted lips.
Fredo was stunned.
Milos added, “Just kidding. How could anyone not know Thunder? The person who was awarded the Medal of Guardian of Hechland, and the big shot in Emperia City.”
Fredo nodded, feeling queer inside. After all, no one had dared to talk to him in that way for years and to make such silly jokes.
On second thought, after all, Milos was once a member of the Evans family. Maybe he saw a lot of high–ranking officials and rich people when he was a child, so he didn’t feel surprised to hear any big shots.
“Actually it was Mr. West who sent me here,” explaine Fredo.
“What does Thunder want to do?” Milos asked.
“The things Mr. West is in charge of are top-secret. I can’t get involved. You will know when you see Mr. West,” Fredo replied with a smile.
Milos returned to his senses at this moment, slapped his thigh, and shouted, “I see! It must be Rudolph, the b*stard, who sold me to Thunder. I knew that I couldn’t live in Almonube Palace for nothing! He had planned everything well and wanted me to owe him a favor!”
Hearing that, Fredo felt very uncomfortable. He could only put the cigarette in his mouth and take a deep puff. People around him were elegant and well-educated. Few of them would swear like Stefan.
“The thing Thunder asked me to do must be troublesome!” Milos said with a frown, with deep displeasure in his tone.
Fredo smiled and said, “If you are available, why don’t you come with me to see Mr. West, and you will know what it is.”
Milos replied decisively, “No. It must be troublesome. I have no interest!”
Fredo’s smile froze. Sure enough, as Ryan said, the other party was really difficult to get along with!
At first, Ryan called Josef, but was refused. Then he called Josef, and was also rejected. Now, Milos still refused to go even when he came in person.
How could he, Fredo Young, be humiliated like this?
“Mr. Evans, why don’t you come with me, and talk to Mr. West first? If you find it troublesome, you don’t have to do it! This is my task. I have no other choice. If you don’t go with me, I’m afraid I can only bother you repeatedly.”
It was the first time Fredo explained to a young man so patiently.
Milos said, “Since he wants to see me, why doesn’t he come to me by himself?”
Fredo was dumbfounded.
It was Thunder West!
A person who had been in power for decades, a hero who had made great contributions to the country, and a big shot who had been awarded the Guardian Medal!
Such a person’s whereabouts are classified as secrets that cannot be leaked. How could Milos let Thunder come to him in person?
What a joke!
“Ahem, ahem…” Fredo repeatedly coughed from the smoke. “Mr. Evans, Mr. West is a high-ranking man, so his whereabouts must not be revealed, or he will cause trouble. So, it’s better for you to come with me. You don’t have to agree to Mr. West’s request. You just need to come with me to see him.”
Milos took a sigh and said, “Well, well. You have come to me three times. You would say I’m putting on airs if I refused you the fourth time.”
After hearing this, Fredo breathed a sigh of relief, and finally completed the task Thunder gave him.
He took out a business card and gave it to Stefan. “Mr. Evans, if something similar happens in the future, you can call me directly, and I will handle it!”
“Poly Capital occupies more than a hundred acres of land in Murcol, and this is an important development plan for the province in the next five years. Hope your company can operate well, and you’ll benefit from preferential policies.”
Milos nodded, put away the business card, looked at his watch, and said, “It’s time for lunch, Mr. Young. Let’s have lunch in the canteen. After that, I’ll meet Thunder.”
Fredo smiled wryly. He didn’t expect this guy to treat him to eat in the canteen. He didn’t say anything, but felt that Milos was really true and interesting.
