Wendy was crying, and Rowan was watching from the side.

“Don’t exhaust yourself, at least. You should cherish Rayburn. Alder is old and shouldn’t worry about you anymore.”
After saying this, Rowan helped Wendy up from the desk. Rowan could see the position of her lying on the desk was really tempting.
“You must rest,” Rowan repeated again,
Wendy was silent and stretched out her hand.
“Give me back the pencil!” After a while, she said coldly.

“I’m going to rest. Can you please get out of my room?” Wendy wiped the tears on her face and said sternly.
“I will watch you rest and make sure you are asleep before I leave,” Rowan said.
Wendy’s face turned red with anger.
Rowan seriously said, “So, if you really don’t want to be slapped again, you’d better lie down on the bed.”
Wendy was furious, but the fierce pain in her butt made her choose to give in. She silently went to the bedside, lay down, and tucked her in.
Rowan sat down on the chair and watched Wendy sleep.
Wendy wanted to insist on not sleeping and let Rowan sit on a chair for the whole night. However, she was too tired. As soon as she lay down on the comfortable big bed, her eyelids began to droop, and her eyes. became blurred and cloudy. Then she shook her head, forcing herself to wake up.

Rowan knew what Wendy was thinking and couldn’t help cursing in his mind.

When Rayburn opened the door, Rowan fell asleep by leaning back on the chair, and Wendy was sleeping soundly on the bed.

Rayburn smiled, he said, “Mr. Evans, the breakfast is ready. Please have some before you leave.”
Rowan didn’t refuse and left after breakfast.
However, Wendy didn’t wake up until noon. The moment she opened her eyes, she felt refreshed. The confusion in her mind was instantly gone, and she didn’t feel exhausted anymore. Unfortunately, she still felt pain in her buns, which almost made her fall when she got off the bed.
“Miss Giradia, you’re awake. Mr. Evans had left earlier,” Rayburn said with a smile.
“Oh? When did he leave?” Wendy asked.
“In the morning,” Rayburn said.
Wendy frowned and said, “Alder didn’t leave last night?”
Rayburn said, “Alder had slept on the chair all night and complained to me this morning.”
