Chyntia thought it was over, but it wasn’t.
She was yelled at by Adrian. “Are you stupid that you would fall into such an obvious trap?”
“I’ve never seen someone as stupid as you! The next time something like this happens, I won’t even bother to care about you,” Adrian said angrily, slapping her twice directly on the back of the head, causing her little head to lower.
Chyntia was aggrieved but had no way to argue with him. It was true that she was the one confused, not even seeing the simple trap and being manipulated by both Fredrick and Flavia.
Chyntia said, “Mr. Evans, I know I’m wrong. Don’t scold…”
Adrian sighed and said, “That’s true too. You’re not smart. If I scold and hit you again, you’ll probably become even less intelligent.”
Chyntia was unconvinced.
I at least studied at a top university. Why should I be called unintelligent?
Julian popped up and laughed. “Mr. Evans, did I get credit for this? Can I be your student now?”
Adrian gave Julian a look and said to Chyntia, “Luckily, Julian is very alert. Milos called me after he saw you being taken away by those two. Otherwise, I don’t know if you would have been screwed by them today! Apart from being stupid, you have the advantage of preferring death to betray our company’s interests.”
Chyntia smiled at Julian and said, “Thank you…”
Julian just felt his heart beat faster and blushed as he said, “No… You’re welcome…”
“What are you getting excited about, boy? Don’t even think about it, you don’t stand a chance.” Adrian grinned as he put a hand on Chyntia’s shoulder.
Julian said unconvincingly, “So what if being rich?”
Adrian laughed. “Huh? Being rich is great. I just have billions of dollars.”
Julian coughed and said, “Well. I’ve made a big contribution this time, right? Can you consider accepting me as an apprentice?”
Adrian was amused. Julian was quite persistent in this matter. This kind of sincerity impressed him. So he didn’t feel so hard–hearted anymore.
Adrian turned his head and looked at Chyntia. “What are you looking at me for?”
Chyntia was startled and subconsciously straightened her coat lapel. She was afraid that her skin would be exposed and that the lecher would take advantage of her.
Adrian was instantly furious and thought, “Is it necessary to be so defensive? I give her the most tips in the live stream.”
Milos nodded at Julian and said, “Tomorrow, you two get up at five in the morning and meet me at Almonube Palace. I’ll take you two to practice.”
Julian couldn’t help but be surprised after hearing this.
Milos immediately dropped to his knees and said in a loud voice, “Thank you, Mr. Evans!”
Chyntia was shocked.
Was there a need to be so excited?
Seeing Chyntia’s astonished look, Julian said to himself, “You don’t know how awesome he is. You’re so lucky!”
Adrian felt that Chyntia was too timid. So he was determined to use martial arts training to change the vulnerability in her heart and make her strong.
It was said that alcohol built up one’s courage. In fact, martial arts were the one that built up the most courage. With a strong body, then one had the confidence to do anything.
“Remember, at five in the morning! I am a punctual person. If any of you are even a minute late, none of you should come to me in the future. Got it?!”
Adrian’s expression suddenly became serious. Milos was old–fashioned when it came to teaching people to practice, following the old–school routine.
Both of them were taken aback by him and hurriedly agreed, “Got it!”
Chyntia was distressed. She had to work every day. She had to go live for a few hours when at home.
If she had to come over at five in the morning every day to practice, wouldn’t that be a shortage of time?
However, she didn’t complain much because she knew one thing well. Suffering hardship made one the best.
Adrian said to Chyntia, “You have to work harder. If you are strong, you will not be bullied in the future. Even if you don’t have power, the fact that you have superior force will make people fear you. Both power and force can make a man bleed. The Emperor is also afraid of killers. If you practice great martial arts, you won’t have to fear Flavia or Fredrick. Or even the Reagan family can’t do anything to you.”
Julian felt excited at Adrian’s words!
To him, Adrian was a powerful being, a figure who could violate the ban with his martial arts.
Rules, power, and money were all nothing in the face of his superhuman force value. If he wanted to kill someone, it would be useless for that person to even live in the army.
The death of James was a matter of speculation. Some suspected Adrian. But Julian was sure that James had been killed by Adrian!
If I could learn half of Mr. Evans‘ skills, I could avenge myself for being shot with an arrow!
Julian thought as he clenched his fist.
Adrian waved his hand and said, “All right, Julian, go home and meet me at the Almonube Palace tomorrow at five in the morning on time.”
Julian nodded seriously and said, “Mr. Evans, don’t worry. I’ll be there on time!”
“Get in, I’ll take you home.” Adrian pushed Chyntia into the car.
Sitting in the car, Chyntia put a wet wipe on her red and swollen cheek. Her heels tapped against the leather cushion and rotated slowly. This movement revealed the mixed emotions she had.
Chyntia couldn’t resist asking after all, “What was that document you showed Mr. Grote that made him so scared? You even shot Fredrick in front of him, and you were fine…”
Adrian laughed, “If you want to know my secret, then at least take something in exchange. How about you unbutton your shirt for me to see?”
Chyntia gave him a hard stare. The other party had never been serious in front of her and always tried to find ways to flirt with her all day.
After Adrian dropped Chyntia off downstairs, Chyntia hesitated for a long time before stamping her foot and saying with gritted teeth, “Why don’t you go with me for a cup of coffee and a rest at my home?”
Jordan, of course, would not refuse this ambiguous invitation.
“You go ahead.” As he walked up the stairs, Chyntia was still wary, defensive of him.
“You’re guarding me as if I am a wolf. But you’re inviting me to your house for coffee. Aren’t you leading the wolf into the house?” Adrian asked.
Chyntia grunted softly and urged Adrian to hurry upstairs.
When they arrived at Chyntia’s house, Adrian casually sat down on the sofa.
Chyntia was busy serving him coffee without changing her clothes. She was wearing a professional outfit and showing a pair of long legs in black silk stockings, which was very eye–catching.
That’s the normal relationship between a boss and a secretary!
Adrian thought with satisfaction as he took the coffee handed to him by a pair of delicate hands.
