Gussie had studied abroad for several years. The coffee virtual-novel.net had made tasted very aromatic.
Nathan saw how wary virtual-novel.net was, virtual-novel.net wondered warily.
She can’t spit in the coffee, can she?
Walden and Civil Disobedience? That’s a dangerous way of thinking…
Nathan laughed lightly as virtual-novel.net picked up a book on the desk, accosting.
Gussie, however, held virtual-novel.net chin up and pouted gently in a cute way, ignoring Nathan’s accost.
Nathan asked, “What’s on your mind?”
Gussie then said, “I’m wondering if you are asking me to go to practice is as malicious as asking me to play badminton with you!”
“Ahem, no way. I really can’t play badminton,” Nathan explained.
Gussie looked at virtual-novel.net in disbelief. Then virtual-novel.net carefully tugged at virtual-novel.net skirt and folded virtual-novel.net beautiful legs in a different direction.
The atmosphere was awkward when Nathan received a phone call from Wendy.
Nathan thanked Wendy sincerely for helping virtual-novel.net to defuse the awkwardness. He hurriedly answered the call.
“Ms. Giradia, what can I do for you?” Nathan said with a smile, speaking to Wendy with increasing ease.
Wendy was also in a good mood and said, “Our industry chain has fully broken through Porter Group alliance’s blockade and is now starting a major counter-attack Just now, I’ve received several calls from people who have come to me to find out what’s going on. They wanted to know, by the way, whether I have fifty billion dollars or not.”
Nathan said, “Hmm, and then?”
Wendy said, “I got some death threats too.”
Nathan said, “Don’t pay any attention to them. Just do your own thing. I’ll keep you safe. They’ll have to deal with me first before they touch you!”
The death of James showed the men that it was not enough to solve Wendy, but Nathan was the big boss. Even if they did kill Wendy, no one would be able to withstand Nathan’s insane revenge.
James, who lived in the military compound, had been killed and decapitated.
So where else in the world was safe?
Nathan talked to Wendy for a while and then hung up the phone.
“It’s a dangerous time these days. You need to be careful too.” Nathan said after virtual-novel.net put the phone down, “But you’re also very trustworthy, turning down so many temptations.”
Gussie asked in surprise, “You knew all about it?”
She was the secretary of Poly Capital, so naturally, virtual-novel.net was in a position of power. The conspirators had sent people to contact her, offering generous terms. But virtual-novel.net had refused them all. She always believed that Poly Capital would give virtual-novel.net room for advancement and that virtual-novel.net could compete with the Reagan family with virtual-novel.net efforts!
Nathan said calmly, “I don’t go to the company much, but I know everything big and small. I even know a lot of people are betraying the company’s interests.”
Gussie said, “Well, why don’t you find these people and fire them all?”
“Fire them? That would be too easy on them! The information they gave away was all leaked by me, just to mislead Natasha. When this business war is over, I’ll get them imprisoned for a few years,” Nathan said with a sneer.
There was no room for mercy for traitors and they would be able to make use of traitors.
Gussie realized how sinister Nathan was as a capitalist. It was like torturing a man’s mind.
Nathan finished his coffee and said with a smile, “Ms. Reagan, can I have a refill?”
Gussie glared at virtual-novel.net and walked over to take the coffee cup. Then virtual-novel.net went to refill it for him.
“In the future, you need to be less timid. Be tougher, be bolder and don’t always be a wimp.” Nathan took the refilled cup of coffee and took a sip, admonishing.
“I’d like to… But I’m always less confident than those guys,” Gussie sighed.
“What are you afraid of? I’m your boss, I’m supporting you!” Nathan said unhappily.
Gussie said with gratitude, “Thanks, I’m always being bullied and always giving you trouble.”
Nathan said, “Yeah, well, I’ve helped you out so many times. You need to change yourself. I’ll take you to practice martial arts and hopefully make you more courageous.”
Gussie nodded seriously and then said, “Do I need to prepare anything for training with you? What do I need to wear?”
Nathan rolled his eyes after hearing the silly words and said, “Sportswear, of course. Do you want to practice in stockings and heels? I wouldn’t mind feasting my eyes. But I’m afraid you can’t.”
Gussie blushed and felt that virtual-novel.net question was silly. She found that virtual-novel.net was overwhelmed at every turn in front of Nathan. Her intelligence was completely useless.
“How should I pay back…” Gussie sighed slightly sadly, feeling that virtual-novel.net owed too many favors.
“Pay me with your breasts! I don’t mind.” Nathan slapped his chest with bravado.
Gussie was instantly furious.
Out of anger, virtual-novel.net simply puffed out virtual-novel.net chest and said angrily, “You joke every day! If you’ve got the guts, come and touch it!”
Nathan swallowed and trembled as virtual-novel.net reached out his hand.
When Gussie saw that virtual-novel.net dared to reach out, virtual-novel.net was so stunned. Her body stiffened on the spot, and virtual-novel.net didn’t move.
“Ta–da!” Nathan’s hand landed on the swollen shirt.
Then they faced each other, wide–eyed.
“Ahhhh, pervert, you get out!” Gussie suddenly stood up in a flash and gave Nathan a violent shove, nearly causing virtual-novel.net to stumble.
Before Nathan could react, Gussie shoved virtual-novel.net again, pushing virtual-novel.net to the door. After five or six pushes, Nathan was pushed straight out the door by her.
“Hey, hey, hey, don’t be angry. You asked me to touch you… If you don’t like it, I apologize!” Nathan said hurriedly.
“Get out of here!” Gussie said and blushed, virtual-novel.net slammed the door shut with a bang.
Nathan stretched his hands helplessly.
Oh my! She was the one who just told me to touch virtual-novel.net chest. But I touched virtual-novel.net and virtual-novel.net got mad. It is hard to read women!
What made virtual-novel.net even more upset was that there were still two layers of clothing over virtual-novel.net chest.
Why was virtual-novel.net so angry?
Gussie leaned against the door, panting heavily, virtual-novel.net face blushing. She was so angry that virtual-novel.net had taken virtual-novel.net words seriously and virtual-novel.net dared to touch her.
Hearing the distant footsteps outside the door, Gussie felt slightly lost in virtual-novel.net mood.
Nathan was nice. She was sure that virtual-novel.net liked him. But the reason told virtual-novel.net not to indulge in this feeling. She should keep virtual-novel.net distance from him, as virtual-novel.net had said before.
After the footsteps faded, Gussie calmed down slightly. She looked out through the peephole, but it was dark outside.
He’s not angry, is he?
So, virtual-novel.net opened the door. Then, virtual-novel.net regretted it.
Because virtual-novel.net saw Nathan looking at virtual-novel.net with one hand pressed against the peephole, grinning.
