The days that followed were uneventful.
Morten took a rest to take care of his body, leaving his things at work to others. The Giradia group made steady progress and was approaching the end of the project.
Nathalia made progress so rapidly that Morten couldn’t help but admire her secretly.
If she had been discovered and trained earlier, she would make formidable achievements in the future. Of course, her level was not poor now.

“Practice finger strength today, untie all of them,” Morten threw the rubber bands in front of Nathalia.

Nathalia gritted her teeth and picked up the second rubber band to untie the knot. This time she changed the other two fingers to untie it, which made it more difficult.
Ten minutes later, she untied the second rubber band with sweat all over her body. She felt like she got a cramp in her fingers, and they trembled violently in the air like those of Parkinson’s patients. She looked up and saw that there were more than twenty rubber bands at her side.
The rubber band was too difficult to untie when it was wet. Every time she exerted force, she had to squeeze her nails hard to find the point of force. Moreover, the knot was so tight that it took a lot of effort to make it looser.
“Before I manage to untie the knot, I’m afraid I will develop tenosynovitis first.” Nathalia couldn’t help questioning him.

Nathalia pouted her lips and lowered her head to untie the third rubber band.

Morten said, “This is a relatively simple practice. If I choose to drench the rubber bands in the grease, you will know the taste of despair.”
Nathalia almost lost her confidence when she heard this, but she felt it a pity to give up halfway and make all her previous efforts futile. So, she chose to persevere.
Today, Nathalia untied a total of ten rubber bands, and she pulled apart the last one almost with her mouth. She spread her hands and found all her fingers worn out and her nails a little cracked with blood under them.
“Okay, let’s stop here today. Come here, and I’ll apply medicine to your wounds and give you a massage. We will practice body skills tomorrow,” Morten said with a half-smile.
Nathalia stretched out her trembling hands, which hurt and made her cry out in pain when held by Morten’s hands.
Morten applied the special potion to his hands, which produced a stimulating effect on her skin. After being massaged for a while, Nathalia felt that her fingers were warm and that the pain was relieved.
She looked carefully and found that the extravasated blood beneath the nails was gradually fading at an astonishing speed.
