Adrian thought that Mr. MacMillan would only make it hard for him on his imported medicine, but he didn’t expect that he would dare to stop the company’s shipment.
It seemed that Mr. MacMillan still felt that he had suffered a big loss in the Gloire Hotel that day, so he couldn’t wait to fight back.
Adrian calmed down after a while, and he looked not panicked at all.
Albert replied indifferently, “Cooperate with them in the checking. Just let them do whatever they want to do.”
The manager smiled wryly and said, “Mr. Evans, in this case, today’s medicines will not be shipped out, and they will not be delivered on time…”
Adrian said calmly, “It’s okay, I won’t blame you for that. Just let them check.”
After hanging up the phone, an insidious smile appeared on Adrian’s face.
Amber felt a little creepy when she saw that.
“What are you laughing at? How could you be so happy after knowing that someone is making trouble?” Amber complained.
“Albert is seeking death, why can’t I be happy?” Adrian said calmly.
Amber was taken aback for a moment and asked in a low voice, “Who are you delivering the medicine to today?”
Adrian said, “Well, the branches of the Rosefinch War Zone.”
Amber was dumbfounded for a while and then murmured, “He’s so bold!”
Adrian didn’t even bother to go back to the company right away.
After driving Julian back to work, he asked Amber to accompany him to go shopping and buy some clothes. Although Amber was not as fond of dressing up as Hannah, she still had good taste. She took Adrian to some famous brand clothing stores and bought some clothes for him.
“You really don’t want to go back to the company?” Amber asked.
“Why do I have to? If I don’t show up, he won’t let it go. But if I show up, he might simply close the team and leave,” Adrian said with a sneer.
Mr. MacMillan was there to pick a fight. If he went to the company, he would be satisfied and happy about that. But if he didn’t show up and make people in the company worried, Mr. MacMillan would be even more proud, and he would increase his efforts to make it even harder.
Adrian was determined to watch the show. This time, he would let Mr. MacMillan know that he was still tough to deal with.
“No one will wait for you, you stupid,” Amber complained secretly in her heart.
Adrian was so insidious.
So, she could only accompany him to stroll around the shopping mall leisurely. And at noon, they even found a high-end seafood buffet to have a big meal.
With Amber’s current food intake, she couldn’t get back the cost of the meal, but she didn’t suffer too much loss. However, Adrian ate a lot, and the restaurateur even put away the shrimp silently when he saw him.
After finishing lunch, the company called again and told Adrian that the people from the health bureau were not going to let them go today.
“Mr. Evans, are you still not coming back? If you don’t come back, today’s medicine will really be delayed,” The manager of the storage and transportation department said angrily.
“Let them check Why are you so worried? Just cooperate with them, that is our responsibility,” Adrian said casually.
The manager said, “It would be fine if they are really checking, but I think they were simply here looking for trouble!”
Adrian smiled and said, “What does that matter? Just bear with it.”
The manager was speechless. Albert knew that Adrian was a tough guy, but today, he was so cowardly. It was so strange.
People in Poly Pharmaceutical were anxious. They communicated with Mr. MacMillan several times but all failed.
Hannah hadn’t communicated with Edgar, but she could guess what he was thinking, so, she simply started doing other things and made a phone call with Ranchy Pharmaceutical.
Adrian took Amber to finish lunch leisurely, and then they went to the movie. It was also rare for Amber to enjoy this kind of leisure time.
After knowing Adrian’s thoughts, she didn’t worry about the company anymore, and she just watched a blockbuster movie seriously.
“Wow, that’s enjoyable. I didn’t expect this actor to be so dedicated to his work at such an old age. Albert is worthy of being the Prince Charming,” Amber sighed.
“You have changed a lot since you came back from Devendill Prison, have you noticed that?” Adrian asked.
Amber was taken aback for a moment and then nodded silently.
She said, “Yeah… I can feel it… I’m not afraid of trouble anymore, and I even expect others to provoke rue.”
Adrian said, “Don’t be afraid of trouble, but don’t expect any trouble to come to you.”
At around three o’clock in the afternoon, Adrian got another phone call came from the company when he was drinking coffee.
Adrian said something and then asked the person called to hand over the phone to Mr. MacMillan.
“You bastard, keep troubling me if you dare. Let’s see how long you can trouble me…” Adrian cursed.
Mr. MacMillan was taken aback. Albert thought that Adrian would say something nice, but he didn’t expect him to be so tough.
Albert said with a sneer, “You think you are very capable, huh? Good! I will keep troubling you today, and you won’t do anything! As long as I’m here, you don’t even think about shipping out your medicine, even a drop of alcohol! If you don’t kneel to apologize to me, it won’t be over between us!”
Adrian said angrily, “Let’s see! I have a lot of money, let’s see if you can bankrupt Poly Pharmaceutical or not!”
Mr. MacMillan said with a sinister smile, “As you wish!”
After saying that, Mr. MacMillan hung up the phone directly.
Adrian put down the phone with an insidious smile on his face.
”Am I a good actor?” Adrian asked Amber with a smile.
“Absolutely…” Amber gave a thumbs up speechlessly.
”Am I better than that actor?” Adrian approached and asked again.
Amber pushed his face away and said, “We’re still outside!”
Adrian smiled and then sat upright and asked Amber, “Are you interested in going back to Rikkus to do things?”
Amber froze when she heard that. She was surprised and shocked.
“I guess I’ll have to go to Rikkus in a while,” Adrian said.
“Do you think I’m good enough to go back there now?” Amber asked.
“No, but if I help you, you are,” Adrian gently held Amber’s hand and said with a smile.
Amber took a deep breath and said, “I want to go back!”
