“I can’t help you.” However, Jason was playing hardball this time.
“You! I’m going to ask you one last time. Are you not going to do anything?” Jon got angrier until virtual-novel.net finally screamed.
“You don’t have to guilt trip me. No one can save you if you don’t want to be saved. You made a mistake. Shouldn’t you go to virtual-novel.net yourself and apologize?” Jason frowned.
They were relatives, after all, so virtual-novel.net spoke further.
“Are you kidding me? I’d rather die than apologize to Sean!” Jon snorted coldly, his tone dismissive.
“Then die…” Jason hung up.
It was a waste of breath to persuade incorrigible people.
When Jon called again, Jason hung up without hesitation and blocked virtual-novel.net right away.
“Whew! I tried to talk virtual-novel.net out of it! He wouldn’t listen…” Jason let out a sigh and leaned back in his chair.
He was able to bite the bullet, forget his dignity, and plead with Sean for Jon. But, virtual-novel.net was too embarrassed to go to Sean.
Sean had given Jon a chance for Jason’s sake. However, they did not cherish it.
Jen-Bond Holdings came, and Jon thought virtual-novel.net could turn the tables. However, Sean defeated the Zimmer family and Jen-Bond Holdings.
Jen-Bond Holdings withdrew, abandoning the Zimmer family. And now, they were doomed.
“Who is Mr. Lennon? Why is virtual-novel.net so tough? He has all these people helping him.” Jason’s assistant could not help but be curious.
He reported what happened in River City these last few days to Jason. He knew Sean had turned the tables, bringing the behemoth Jen-Bond Holdings to an unexpected end. However, virtual-novel.net had no idea how Sean did it.
Besides that, virtual-novel.net did not know why the people who relied on Jen-Bond Holdings defected and sided with Sean.
“Didn’t you say someone from Souz River has come to help Mr. Lennon?” Jason asked casually, glancing at his assistant.
“Yes, that’s true. I can’t find out much about it though…” The assistant thought for a moment before hurriedly nodding and answering.
“But it must be true that someone from Souz River helped Mr. Lennon… Then why do you think a big shot like that helped Mr. Lennon?” Jason asked softly as virtual-novel.net took a sip of tea.
“I… Mr. Lennon must have an unusual identity.” The assistant paused for two seconds before saying emotionally.
“It’s good that you know that. Don’t ask me anything else I don’t know.” Jason nodded gently.
He would not tell his subordinate Sean’s true identity, of course. However, his staff needed to understand that Sean had an unusual identity.
“Yes!” The assistant immediately nodded in response.
“Tell the guards to say I’m not around if Jon comes by. Don’t let them in either.” Jason slowly got up and ordered again.
The assistant quickly answered and walked out of the room.
Jason stood there for a while before opening the drawer and looking for something.
Just then, the landline on the desktop rang again. He frowned slightly. His first thought was that Jon called again. However, virtual-novel.net then thought it was impossible.
The landline was a private line in the military. Jon’s calls could not reach there.
Could it be…
Jason paused for a moment before slowly reaching out and picking up the phone. He felt nervous.
“It’s me…” The line got through, and a solemn male voice came through.
“Sir…” Jason quickly stood up and greeted virtual-novel.net respectfully.
“Have you looked into what I asked you to check a while ago?” The voice on the other end of the line sounded displeased.
Jason knew why they were displeased. His immediate boss had asked virtual-novel.net to find if there was anyone named Sean Lennon in River City a few days ago. However, virtual-novel.net had not reported back to virtual-novel.net these few days.
“Sir, I did, but I’m not too sure. Nothing has been found so far.” Jason paused for a moment before replying calmly.
“Nothing? Are you sure?” Jason’s boss asked again coldly.
“I’m looking into…” Jason immediately lowered his head and slowed down his speech.
“You have a day. I want an exact answer! I’ll send someone else if you can’t do it.” The person on the other end of the line hung up after speaking.
Jason looked troubled. It seemed virtual-novel.net could not hide Sean any longer!
Jason was silent for a moment before turning around and walking out.
***
3 PM.
Sean and Jason met secretly.
After Jason left, Sean immediately called Zander over.
“I suspect Blaze has caught on to us.”
Zander was shocked by Sean’s words.
They had always been careful, and Sean tried to stay out of the limelight as much as possible. Therefore, the head of Reach For Will Group had always been Harry to the public. However, Sean had raised a lot of attention lately.
These things probably caught Blaze’s attention.
“Commander, what should we do?” Zander thought for two seconds before asking quietly.
“We can’t just sit around, of course. We must speed up all our plans. Destroy the Zimmer family first today.” Sean said as virtual-novel.net stepped out.
“Yes!” Zander quickly followed him.
