“Mr. Lennon, please have a seat…” Zane reached out his hand and beckoned Ishac to sit down.
Edgar and Ishac were alone in the room, and Zane did not have an assistant with him. Since it was a personal agreement he had made with Ishac he did not need any assistant.
“Mr. Lennon, why do I find you familiar?” Zane asked quietly after looking at Ishac for a few seconds.
“I have an average-looking face… It’s normal that I look somewhat familiar.” Ishac waved his hand slightly and did not say more.
“No, you’re not average, Mr. Lennon. There must be something unusual about your identity, Mr. Lennon,” Zane shook his head slightly. Edgar had a feeling he had seen Ishac somewhere.
Edgar had probably seen him in a photo or from somewhere, even if he had never met him in person.
“Tell me who I am, Mr. Curley,” Ishac smiled and picked up the coffee pot in front of him.
“Well…” Zane was puzzled by Ishac’s remark.
It was because he had no idea what to say.
Edgar had had people look into Lennon Real Estate and Ishac in the past two days. After all, he could not randomly support someone he did not know. However, to Zane’s surprise, he found nothing after two days of investigation.
The best he could find was that Ishac was from some corporation in River City. Everything else was blank.
Zane had no idea if someone was trying to cover up Ishac’s identity or if it was indeed a mystery.
Seeing Zane’s silence, Ishac laughed.
“Mr. Curley, we have to get to the heart of the matter. What is it? Joules Town needs to develop, and you need to reach your KPI. And I’m capable enough to satisfy Joules Town’s development plans and your KPI.”
“Aren’t these enough?” Ishac asked indifferently, holding the coffee pot.
Zane was once again left speechless. Edgar could not even refute him.
Edgar had already seen Ishac’s wealth. Edgar was super rich to pay five billion dollars for a piece of land. However, money alone was not enough. Edgar was not quite sure about Ishac’s ability yet.
Thud.
Ishac closed the coffee pot and waited for the coffee to rest.
“Mr. Curley, I’ve already paid the bill,” Ishac said, pulling out a Pullman Hotel member card.
“I used your card,” Ishac said as he slowly pushed the member card forward.
“My card?” Zane was instantly stunned.
Edgar never had a Pullman member card.
“That’s right. After deducting today’s expenses, there is still a million dollars in it. Thank you for your hospitality, Mr. Curley.” Ishac finished, and the membership card was already pushed up to Zane.
Zane stared blankly at the membership card for more than ten seconds before slowly coming to his senses.
“You… You…” Zane was confused, he was dumbfounded.
Edgar had people giving him cash, valuable paintings, and rare antiques. However, Ishac’s approach was new to him.
“What’s the matter? I’m donating a billion dollars to Joules Town charity. Can’t I spend some money on you, Mr. Curley?” Ishac picked up the coffee pot and began to pour the coffee.
Zane paused for a few seconds, speechless.
“This is a gift!” Zane shook his head slightly and pushed the member card back.
It was not that he did not know any better, it was that Zane did not have such a habit.
“First of all, this is your card. Besides, I know you’re different from other people, Mr. Curley.”
“Jimmy approached you, but you turned him down.” Ishac picked up the coffee cup and gently placed it in front of Zane.
“You did your research very well!” Zane narrowed his eyes slightly.
Edgar did not realize that Ishac even knew about these things. However, he was not afraid. After all, he had always had his boundaries. Edgar would never touch anything he should not do.
“You’re not like the others. I’m not like Jimmy either… I think you know what I mean, Mr. Curley.” Ishac picked up the coffee cup, twirled it gently, and smelled the coffee as he spoke.
Zane’s eyes narrowed again slightly. Edgar understood what Ishac meant, of course.
“I get what you mean. But you must take back this card. You have your way, and I have my rules,” Zane pushed the card back.
“Alright.” Ishac no longer insisted and put away his membership card right away.
Zane did not accept it, but he got to know Ishac better again.
Ishac’s approach did not work on Zane but might work on others. Therefore, it was also an ability.
The two finally got down to business after drinking coffee.
“I called you here today because I wanted to talk about something… How far are you going to go with Billion Trees Real Estate?” Zane asked, putting down his coffee cup and tapping the table.
“That depends on how far you want us to go, Mr. Curley,” Ishac’s answer was somewhat meaningful.
