“Catie…” Edgar called softly as he reached Caitlyn.
“Hmm? What’s the matter, Brother Edgar?” Caitlyn asked, turning her head to Josef.
Edgar locked eyes with Caitlyn, and his mouth moved. He wanted to say something, but he had no idea how.
Should he tell Caitlyn not to like him, and it was never happening between them?
There was no way he would say that.
If Caitlyn did not feel that way about Astor, it would be awkward for both of them.
Therefore, Edgar and Caitlyn looked at each other for ten seconds but could not utter a single word.
“Brother Astor, what’s come over you?” Caitlyn held out her little hand and waved it in front of Edgar’s eyes.
“No… I only think it’s time for you to find a boyfriend…” Edgar touched the tip of his nose and replied in a hurry.
He wanted to sound out Caitlyn first.
“Tsk! I don’t want one. I’m going to stay at the orphanage and help Aunt May… Besides, Aunt May said someone must take over when she’s old and can’t move.” Caitlyn shook her head.
She could not stand to see the orphanage children homeless. However, as long as she was around, she would provide a haven for those children. Even if it were not home and in poor condition, at least she would not leave them cold and hungry.
“Well, you can’t spend your entire life without a boyfriend, can you?” Edgar paused before whispering in reply.
“Brother Astor, people like me don’t deserve partners. I owe my life to the orphanage and Aunt May. It Aunt May hadn’t taken me in, I wouldn’t have existed…”
“The orphanage gave me everything I own, so my priority after I grew up is to repay the orphanage. I have no time to think about anything else.” Caitlyn looked at Edgar sternly.
After looking at each other for a few seconds, Caitlyn shook her head and smiled again.
“There’s no way I’ll leave the orphanage. Whoever is with me has to carry the burden of the orphanage with me. Tell me, who would be so stupid as to stay with me?” Caitlyn replied with a smile before Edgar could say anything.

Edgar did not know where the sadness came from. Maybe it was just the inevitable feeling a brother got when his sister had a boyfriend. It was like how a father felt when he saw his daughter get married.
“That’s good? Brother Astor, what are you talking about?” Caitlyn asked, frowning slightly and looking at Josef.
“Nothing. Let me meet him sometime. I’ll have to check out your boyfriend.” Edgar shook his head and looked at Caitlyn with a smile.
Instead of smiling, Caitlyn looked at Edgar with mixed feelings.
“He… I don’t know if he likes me.
Caitlyn was silent for a few seconds before looking away.
“Is he a fool? My sister is gentle, adorable, and kind. He’s lucky that you like him. How dare he not like my sister? Unless he’s a fool…” Edgar curled his lip as he spoke half-jokingly.
“What if he’s a fool?” Caitlyn lowered her head slightly and said casually.
“Then stop liking a fool like him. Get another one,” Edgar shook his head and said solemnly.
“You don’t understand women!” Caitlyn was speechless before turning around and walking forward.
“What… What do you mean?” The usually calm Edgar was a little confused at this time.
Cindy behind him shook his head and sighed. He did not expect the invincible and clever nine-star commander, Edgar Lennon, to be so ignorant when it came to romantic relationships.
