Jane trembled with fear even if she was bold.

Jane, who was behind the window, swore angrily, then she straightened up and shouted to Edgar in the yard, “Mozart, I will kill your two women if you hurt my father! Think carefully!”
“Then stick with our deal. Enough scheming!” Edgar exclaimed.
Jane hesitated for a moment before shouting again, “Mozart, take the hood off his head. How else will I know that it’s my father, Jimmy, who you have brought with you?”
Jimmy and Edgar heard Jane’s voice.
Before Edgar could say anything, Jimmy shouted in a crying voice, “Jane, I’m your father! I’m your father, Jimmy! Hurry and save me! This guy will kill me if you don’t save me!”
Jane was frustrated by Jimmy’s cries but did not rush to speak because she had not yet confirmed the man’s identity.
Edgar did not hesitate. Josua immediately grabbed Jimmy’s hood and yanked it down. Once the hood was removed, Jimmy’s face instantly appeared before everyone.
Jane felt sad as she looked at her father’s destitute face and the stubble on his chin that had not been shaved for a long time. Her father was well-respected when he was the chairman of Billion Trees Group. However, he was thrown in jail and was treated inhumanely.
With this in mind, Jane was even more determined to kill Edgar!
The mercenaries’ leader looked from Edgar in the yard to Jane next to him and asked, “Ms. Lidell, what now?”
“What else? Send him the women. When my father is out of danger, shoot Edgar and those two b*tches!” Jane said, clenching her teeth as she suppressed the malice in her heart.
“Okay!”
The bald man nodded heavily and clenched the crossbow in his hand.
Josua said a few words to a nearby subordinate, and the mercenary immediately went to the room where Caitlyn and May were being held. Then he led the two women downstairs into the yard full of weeds.
Seeing Caitlyn and May, Edgar was finally relieved. It was a good thing that they were all right.
Both women look like a mess now because they had not eaten for a long time and had been abused by Jane. However, at least they were not missing arms or legs or were too severely hurt.
“Brother Mozart, be careful! Jane hired many scary people! They also have dangerous weapons!” Caitlyn shouted at Edgar to remind him.
Edgar nodded and said to Caitlyn, “I know. Don’t worry.”
Then Edgar looked at the mercenary and pushed Jimmy in front of him.
“Let’s exchange hostages.”
The exchange was simple, but both Edgar and the mercenary were careful. It was because that was where things could easily go wrong.
Finally, Caitlyn and May were back with Mozart, and Jimmy was in the hands of the mercenary.
“When I tell you to run, run as fast as you can, and don’t look back…” Edgar whispered to Caitlyn and May.
