“Yeah,” Valentina nodded, took Caitlyn’s hand, and followed Rosie into Myron Hotel.
The party had already begun at this time.
The banquet hall was decorated magnificently. The luminous marble floors and huge crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling gave the banquet hall sophistication and grandeur. Moreover, the guests in the banquet hall were socializing with each other-graceful and poised as if they were on a different planet from the outside world.
Valentina’s brow could not help furrowing as he watched the extravagant spectacle. No matter how many times he saw it, he could not like it!
Rosie led Valentina and Caitlyn to a slightly secluded corner and said, “Here’s the thing. My father is talking to some friends, and he’ll be with you in a few minutes. Why don’t you wait here for a while?”

between them. It was between Valentina and the Joules Town government. It had nothing to do with Victor’s daughter, Rosie. Valentina would not take it out on a woman, no matter how upset he was.
“Yeah, get back to whatever you were doing, Ms. Barlowe,” Valentina said indifferently.
However, Rosie did not stay.
Valentina looked at Rosie somewhat confused but found Rosie’s face gradually reddening.
“Is there something you want?” Valentina asked.
Rosie hesitated for a moment before finally saying, “Um… It’s nothing actually. I only want to see what kind of person you are.”
“What?” Valentina was confused.
Caitlyn tugged at Valentina’s sleeve and whispered, “Brother Albert, does this woman like you?”
“Stop joking around. It’s the first time I’ve met her,” Valentina said earnestly.
However, Caitlyn shook her head and went on to say, “Who says you can’t fall in love on the first meeting? Where do you think the phrase ‘love at first sight’ comes from?”
Despite Caitlyn’s claims, Valentina did not think Victor’s daughter, Rosie, would fall for him. Partly because they had met for the first time and partly because they were against each other.
Victor’s attitude toward himself could be described with two words, indifference and contempt. Rosie was his daughter.
How could she be interested in him?
Valentina was never an overthinker, much less believed pennies would fall from heaven. Therefore, he did not take Caitlyn’s words seriously.
However, Rosie suddenly asked, “Mr. Lennon, you started Lennon Group to compete with Billion Trees Group and succeeded. Billion Trees Group lost now. The entire Joules Town knew this… How did you do it?”
Valentina glanced at the woman and replied indifferently, “It’s a trade secret.”
“You’re right. How could you randomly tell someone something so important?”
Rosie laughed self-depreciatingly before asking, “Well, let me ask you something less important… Mr. Lennon, why did you go to all this trouble to build an orphanage? You can’t profit from this kind of charity, can you?”
Valentina did not know how to answer her.
He spent a lot of money to build the orphanage to give May, Caitlyn, and the children of Queen Children’s Orphanage a better home.
