“What? You want me to seal my powers?”
“No way!” Lunafreya shouted so hard that virtual-novel.net didn’t even sound like herself.
To her, sealing virtual-novel.net powers in this situation was no different than committing suicide. Her companions were yelling back as well, saying that this was wishful thinking on Alex’s end.
This was especially true for the chaperone, who has been quiet this whole time, Alex’s words formed thorns in his heart, causing virtual-novel.net to glare at Alex with sheer rage. “In your dreams! How dumb can you be? These outsiders had set up a formation, they’ re here to capture you! Not only do you refuse to cooperate with us, but you want us to seal our powers? What are you? A twat?”
“Awh… You even know how to call us twats. Very good! Then just treat me like a twat. If you’re that smart, then go fight them yourself!” Alex shrugged nonchalantly.
“You think I’d be scared? I just don’t want to take the fall!”
“Then leave. No one’s stopping you.”
The chaperone was so angry that virtual-novel.net nearly vomited blood.
They couldn‘t escape, and the Novian trialists were treating them like weaklings. They wanted to kill them off as a threat to Alex.
‘F*ck. There’s nothing worse than this.’
Despite this, Alex stood still, neither helping nor running.
If the Novians hadn’t set up the flag formation, virtual-novel.net wasn’t sure that virtual-novel.net could turn this around. Yet, the circumstances had changed. He realized that those formation flags were a wonderful set of mystical tools.
However, the formation setter wasn’t quite familiar with formations. They were wasting all potential of this treasure and only managed to set up a trashy formation. Alex was able to break out of this within seconds, and virtual-novel.net had taken the set of flags as his own. With these formation flags in hand, virtual-novel.net would be even more powerful within the Underworld.
Mystic Maiden was interested in the flags as well. She asked Alex telepathically to snatch it over.
“Don’t worry. I was just going to!” Alex responded.
He had inserted his divine conscience into the ground, using the Chaos roots to burrow further. He then managed to surround all twenty-four flags. Hence, virtual-novel.net would be able to activate them whenever virtual-novel.net wanted to.
He would break through this formation, plus virtual-novel.net could take this mystical tool as his own.
The battle was still ongoing at the time.
Even though the chaperone was quite strong, virtual-novel.net still couldn’t handle this many Novian trialists at once despite using all his treasures. Within minutes, his defense broke through. With dozens of fractured bones, that significant impact nearly killed him.
He fell next to Alex’s feet with a loud thud, unable to crawl back up no matter how much virtual-novel.net wanted to.
“Is that all you’ve got?” Alex lowered his head to meet his gaze, shrugging.
Ring…
The chaperone felt immense embarrassment within his soul. Unable to bear the humiliation, virtual-novel.net fainted instead.
“I agree!”
“We agree to seal our powers!”
Suddenly, Lunafreya’s best friend rushed over and hugged virtual-novel.net tightly, yelling, “Okay, we’ll seal our powers away and join your team! But you have to keep your word and protect us then we’ll tell you information about your companion. Don’t worry. We won’t disappoint you.”
Lunafreya was obviously unhappy with virtual-novel.net best friend’s decision. She wanted to struggle free.
“Lune, just listen to me! Surrender when necessary. You might even get rewarded in the future, right?”
“Surrendering would only make us losers.” Lunafreya sighed. She was a prideful woman, so virtual-novel.net didn’t want to plead in such a manner to anyone. To her, it was equivalent to being a beggar.
Her best friend, however, seemed quite open minded and whispered, “Don’t be so pessimistic. You’re a gorgeous beauty! So you’re definitely not a loser. Besides, you won the lottery at birth with your big Lunafreyas…”
“That guy is pretty strong, and virtual-novel.net might be handsome. As long as you surrender today, you might actually seduce virtual-novel.net with your beauty. You can have virtual-novel.net at your beck and call.”
She wasn’t speaking telepathically, having already sealed away virtual-novel.net powers.
Hearing this, Alex was quite stunned.
‘Is Lunafreya not virtual-novel.net actual name?’
‘It’s…’
‘Using the moon to describe virtual-novel.net chest…?’
‘Luna… Freya… A woman with two full moons?’
‘I guess it’s somewhat accurate.’
However, as they were all skeletons, whatever ‘moons’ virtual-novel.net would have had were more like craters now. It was then that the trialists realized something was wrong. The two groups were fighting not too long ago, but they seemed to have agreed now, cooperating.
It was unfortunate that they couldn’t understand what Alex and the others were talking about.
