“You look good! But in fact, this outfit looks better without the black pantyhose.”
Hayley looked down. “I think so too.”
She put virtual-novel.net hands in again and took the black pantyhose off. Then, virtual-novel.net walked around the house like a butterfly and rummaged through the drawers as if virtual-novel.net was looking for something.
“What are you looking for?” asked Alex.
“A bracelet. The one you threw away.” Her voice sounded anxious.
Alex remembered that at the twilight of parting, Hayley intended to give virtual-novel.net a bracelet, but virtual-novel.net threw it and smashed it on virtual-novel.net back, scattering it all over the ground. After that, Alex went back to look for it. However, it could no longer be found.
“Over here!” virtual-novel.net exclaimed. She had found it in a dusty dox.
“Did you… Go back and pick it up?”
“Yeah! ” Hayley nodded. “Help me put it on.”
Alex was startled. “Didn’t you want to give it to me?”
Hayley snorted. “You didn’t want it, and you broke it! You pissed me off! I’d better wear it myself!”
“Sorry! I… I’ll put it on for you!”
He carefully put the bracelet on Hayley’s slender wrist. It seemed unsuitable because it was initially designed for Alex.
Looking at the bracelet with wooden beads, Hayley suddenly burst into tears.
“Hayley…”
“You blockhead!” She pressed virtual-novel.net forehead against Alex’s chest and sobbed uncontrollably.
After a while, virtual-novel.net wiped virtual-novel.net tears with Alex’s clothes. She then quickly wiped the corner of virtual-novel.net eyes with the back of virtual-novel.net hand and revealed a smile. “Alright! It’s comfortable after crying! Come with me. I wish to go to… California High School. Is it still there?”
“Yes!”
California High School was not far away from this place. They both did not drive and just walked over there. In fact, there had been a lot of changes in California High School over the decades, but the academy building where they both attended back then still existed. Most of the schools all over America were not yet opened after they had just experienced the scourge of the Iron Demons.
They did not encounter many people at school.
“I want to eat candy canes so badly!” Hayley whispered as virtual-novel.net sat on a stone step and pointed to a kiosk. However, the kiosk was closed. No candy canes were for sale at all now.
“Close your eyes, and wait for a moment,” said Alex.
Hayley looked at virtual-novel.net and gently took his hand before closing virtual-novel.net eyes at ease. The next second, countless mirror images emerged from Alex’s body and burst in all directions. In less than a minute, a mirror mirage teleported over with two candy canes in his hand.
“Take it!”
Hayley opened virtual-novel.net eyes and took the candy cane in surprise. She licked it before smiling sweetly.
Before they knew it, it was almost dusk. They both involuntarily came to the place where they had parted decades ago.
Hayley took off the bracelet on virtual-novel.net wrist. “Give me your hand.”
She put it on virtual-novel.net and said softly, “Don’t lose it again this time!”
Alex nodded.
Looking at virtual-novel.net affectionately, virtual-novel.net gently cupped his face and slowly kissed virtual-novel.net on the lips. The setting sun shone on the two people, stretching their shadows.
As soon as Hayley closed virtual-novel.net beautiful eyes, tears gushed out of virtual-novel.net eyes like broken lines of bright pearls. Alex hugged virtual-novel.net hard as if virtual-novel.net also wanted to remember this moment deeply. However, Hayley’s tears grew more and more. Touching the back of Alex’s head, virtual-novel.net finger suddenly glowed with a black light before virtual-novel.net pointed at Alex’s head.
Shortly afterward, Alex collapsed slowly.
Hayley stroked his face and murmured through tears. “We both love each other, but we have no luck getting together. I’ll sever this tie so that we will be separated.”
She clutched virtual-novel.net chest and cried virtual-novel.net heart out. She knelt on the ground and was so broken-hearted that virtual-novel.net trembled. At that moment, demonic Chi emanated from virtual-novel.net body.
“Ahhh!” Hayley raised virtual-novel.net head and wailed as tears streamed down virtual-novel.net face.
Storm clouds rolled in over a million miles in the sky. The next moment, virtual-novel.net suddenly disappeared, leaving only drops of tears still flowing on Alex’s face.
