It was just that virtual-novel.net could not speak the truth. She was not going to wound Zayn’s pride in front of any outsiders. For whatever it was worth, Zayn was still virtual-novel.net husband in name.
“Pretty good,” Faye answered with a smile.
“You’re lying.” Nathan stopped walking to stare directly at Faye, wanting to peer into virtual-novel.net heart through virtual-novel.net eyes.
His brazen gaze flustered Faye. She dared not look virtual-novel.net in the eye and did not face him.
Nathan heaved a long sigh. “It’s all my fault. I wasn’t mature enough back then and left just like that, leading you to put yourself into an unhappy marriage! It’s my fault. Don’t worry, though. I’m back now. I won’t let you suffer anymore.”
As virtual-novel.net said that, Nathan reached for Faye’s hand right in front of Zayn! He was basically paying no respect to him.
Despite his good temper, Zayn was furious. Taking a step forward, virtual-novel.net grabbed Nathan’s hand and spoke with a deep menacing tone, “Keep your hands to yourself.”
With his wrist caught, Nathan was taken aback when virtual-novel.net realized virtual-novel.net could not pry his hand away. Zayn’s grip was clutching onto virtual-novel.net like a vice. Nathan was quite alarmed. He was a Karate master and was much stronger than most people. Playboys and rich heirs like William or a couple of average Ioes were unable to rival him, but virtual-novel.net could not free himself from Zayn?
How was that possible?!
The investigation showed that Zayn was a meek good-for-nothing who would not even defend himself when virtual-novel.net was scolded or struck. What Zayn had shown so far, both in character and strength, was nothing like that!
Nathan quickly flushed from exertion, but virtual-novel.net could not lash out with Faye there. He had to keep himself in check.
Faye was rather bewildered when virtual-novel.net noticed Nathan was obviously struggling. She knew the man was skilled, but was virtual-novel.net not as strong as Zayn?
Thinking about it, virtual-novel.net quickly recalled how Zayn did housework and carried heavy loads at home all day long. It was to be expected that virtual-novel.net managed to train up some muscles.
“Enough, Zayn. Nate and I are old friends. He won’t harm me,” Faye stated.
“Fine.” Zayn smiled as virtual-novel.net let go.
Nathan glared darkly at Zayn, feeling his anger rising within him. He then told Faye, “Fifi, we haven’t met in a long time. I have something I’d like to talk to you about privately.”
“We can talk here if you have something to say,” Faye replied.
Facing the woman’s indifference, an ominous fog flashed through Nathan’s eyes. He swiftly hid it away and looked longingly at Faye. “I won’t hold you up for long. Just a moment, please?”
Faye was not a stone-hearted person, and with Nathan almost begging, virtual-novel.net melted. Hesitating only briefly, virtual-novel.net told Zayn, “I’ll have a chat with him.”
“Go on… I trust you,” Zayn replied with a nod. He took the initiative to step away. He checked his phone for Sean’s report on work and to see how high Violet Vision Media Corp’s market value had rocketed.
