Zayn heaved a sigh in his heart. His brother-in-law was really terrifying.

Daryl shifted his gaze from Thomas to Zayn. “It was you who hit my car?”

When Daryl was sizing Zayn up, so was Zayn. Soon, he managed to generally figure out this man. He was a proud, arrogant rich kid who perpetrated evilness and tyranny in the university on usual days simply because his family was rich.

“The accident has already happened. We can just file a report with the police and make an insurance claim,” said Zayn nonchalantly.

Daryl chortled. “In that case, do you acknowledge that it was you who hit my car?”

His smile was filled with gravity and threat besides being tinted with overbearingness. No wonder a protected, spoiled child like Thomas would fear him so much. However, what a waste that the person he encountered was Zayn who was naturally not startled by his presence.

“So what if it was I who hit your car. Look at you. Are you going to beat me up?” Zayn chuckled meaningfully.

Zayn was so calm that he did not reveal the slightest fear or cowardice, which was completely different from his usual useless self. It made Thomas doubt if he was delusional. Was this still the same Zayn that he was acquainted with?

Noticing how calm and fearless Zayn was toward him, Daryl held back from taking action against him. He figured that Zayn was perhaps some big shot that he did not know. In a deep voice, he demanded, “Who are you and how dare you hit my car? Do you know who I am?! ”

Someone said from the side, “Richmond, it wasn’t him who hit your car. It was Thomas. He was driving that Audi A7.”

Daryl followed the person’s line of sight. He found an Audi A7 parked at the side with a dented bumper as well. All at once, he was even more cautious.

“Richmond, I heard from their conversation earlier that this lad seems to be Thomas’s brother-in- law,” reminded another person.

“Brother-in-law?” Daryl was stunned for a moment. Soon afterward, he said in enlightenment, “Ah, I remember now. You’re Thomas’s deadbeat brother-in-law who married into his family, huh? Haha…”

Many onlookers chimed in and laughed in mockery upon hearing his remark. The previous fear and doubt in their eyes had vanished. On the contrary, they were looking at Zayn in disdain and mockery. They behaved as if they knew him very well when in reality, it was Zayn’s first time picking Thomas up from Waltz University.

Zayn was not an idiot. He immediately figured out that his infamy was most probably a result of Thomas’s blabbering.

Upon noticing Zayn’s gaze, Thomas had a look of embarrassment on his face. He had no lack of experience mocking Zayn in the university as a way of bragging about his superiority. Everyone was aware that he had a useless brother-in-law who had married into his family.

After figuring out Zayn’s identity, Daryl’s fear of Zayn vanished into nothingness. He laughed mischievously and said, “I heard from Thomas that you’ve been married to his sister for four years, but you’ve never even touched her body yet. Is that true?”

His sarcastic remark drew the sneering of a bunch of people once again. They looked at Zayn like he was a clown.

Thomas could not tolerate being taunted like this. He struggled with great effort in an attempt to flee. However, Zayn’s hand clutched him tightly like an iron vice all this time such that he could not leave even if he wanted to.

“What are you doing? Let go of me! I want to go back! Let go of me! Or else, I’ll tell my sister about this when I’m back so that she can punish you!” cried Thomas in a panic.

Zayn was agitated by Thomas, so he scolded him straightforwardly, “Shut up!”

He looked so ferocious now that his anger immediately stunned Thomas whose heart was racing as he lost his courage. Next, he almost leaped up in fear upon hearing Zayn’s words.

“The injury on your face was from him, wasn’t it? Go and beat him up now, ” Zayn said nonchalantly.
