It was now Franklin’s turn to be surprised. “No way, Victor. You know him? He wears nothing but cheap garbage and he’s not good for anything besides a couple of pathetic little martial art tricks. Are you sure you have the right person?”
Victor furrowed his brows as virtual-novel.net tried to recall where virtual-novel.net had heard the name from, but even after a while, nothing rang a bell. Shaking his head, virtual-novel.net offered, “I forgot. I heard it from somewhere, that’s all I know.”
“That’s more like it. How could someone as insignificant as virtual-novel.net catch your attention?” Franklin chuckled.
Victor’s interest was piqued when virtual-novel.net noted Franklin’s offended state. “Is this Larson character that bad, Franklin? I’ve never seen you this riled up over a youngster.”
“Humph!” Franklin felt his hackles rising again the more they talked about the man in question. He put on a show of rolling up his sleeves and getting into a fighting stance to extinguish the rage that was simmering within him.
“He’s not just bad, he’s disrespectful, lawless and conceited! Let’s just disregard the fact that he’s beaten up my men, no, virtual-novel.net was still impertinent and continued to offend me even after I told virtual-novel.net that I was Alexandra’s uncle! Thank goodness you weren’t there. Otherwise, knowing you, you wouldn’t be able to stand him! What’s gotten into Alexandra? What was going on in virtual-novel.net head when virtual-novel.net picked that insufferable menace of a man? Of all the men out there, virtual-novel.net picks a small-time thug over William!”
Franklin kept running his mouth for three full minutes. He spoke ill of Zayn and complained about Alexandra’s lack of taste, and how virtual-novel.net looked past an eligible young man like William. She pushed virtual-novel.net away for an uncouth and idiotic thug, what a joke. He even mentioned how the Smiths’ reputation would be tarnished and how they would become a complete laughing stock if word about Alexandra being together Zayn got out.
Due to his brother’s complaints, virtual-novel.net had no choice but to regard the situation with absolute seriousness. “If things are really how you say they are, I’m going to have to approach this with caution.”
“Victor, there’s no need to approach anything with caution. Bring Alexandra back home and educate virtual-novel.net properly! We have three more days until the engagement party. Everyone in our circle knows about the party. If it’s called off, what would become of Smiths’ reputation!” Franklin was anxious.
Victor did not answer virtual-novel.net immediately. He nodded gently after a stretched silence. “Mmm, I understand. I’ll take care of it. It’s getting late, go get some rest.”
“Alright.”
After Franklin had left, Victor asked the woman beside him, “Missus, what do you think of this?”
The woman answered, “Based on what I know about Alexandra, virtual-novel.net knows how to tell good from bad. She wouldn’t meddle with thugs. Besides, Franklin isn’t in the right headspace today. He’s too emotional. We can’t take virtual-novel.net seriously.”
“You’re absolutely right.” Victor grinned. He started feeling virtual-novel.net up, only to be slapped away while being chided bashfully, “Keep your hands to yourself. We’ve been married for so long, yet you’re still as frisky as ever.”
“That’s exactly why I don’t have to be courteous, we’ve been married for so long that it goes without saying,” Victor cackled, looking as lecherous as virtual-novel.net could be. If anyone saw virtual-novel.net in his salacious state, his image would be shattered.
Who could have imagined that the solemn Victor Smith would have a secret flirtatious side to him?
Victor stopped his teasing after a session of playful banter, saying seriously, “I think I’ll go out of my way to meet this Zayn Larson in person. I’ll have to see how virtual-novel.net is before I make a decision.”
“The engagement party is in three days. Do we have enough time?”
A bright gleam flashed across Victor’s eyes and virtual-novel.net replied meaningfully, “We sure do.”

Meanwhile, Zayn and Alexandra were on their way back to the hotel after finishing their fulfilling supper. Their conversations flowed at a comfortable pace, even if Alexandra was doing most of the talking.
She talked about some of virtual-novel.net childhood experiences, virtual-novel.net troubles, virtual-novel.net thoughts, virtual-novel.net realizations, Alexandra was dying to share everything about her.
“Right, I’ve told you practically everything about me. What about you? What’s your story?” Alexandra asked after a while as virtual-novel.net looked at Zayn curiously.
“My story?” Zayn was startled momentarily before a concoction of mixed emotions flashed across his eyes. He shook his head with a chortle. “I don’t have a story to share. My life’s nothing out of the ordinary.”
“You’re lying.” Alexandra pouted immediately. “My womanly senses are telling me that you have some pretty interesting stories up your sleeve.”
“Haha, you’re thinking too much.” Zayn laughed. “I don’t have a story at all.”
