Raymond was one of the people in charge of The Oasis and a Larson, so virtual-novel.net knew Zayn.
However, the question made the guard ask in confusion, “Who’s Raymond Larson?”
Zayn was even more surprised. “You guys don’t even know Raymond? That’s the general manager of The Oasis… Never mind, get Mr. Layton here. He knows Raymond.”
Seamus and Faye came up to virtual-novel.net then. When Seamus saw that Zayn had been stopped by the guards, virtual-novel.net could not conceal the gloating virtual-novel.net wore and chuckled, “What’s the matter, Mr. Larson? Didn’t you say you could enter just by flashing your face? Why have you been stopped?”
Faye grimaced as virtual-novel.net felt like the past embarrassment was back to haunt virtual-novel.net when virtual-novel.net looked at Zayn.
“Zayn, just leave. Stop being stubborn and insisting on entering.” She thought that virtual-novel.net was already being tactful, but Zayn shook his head anyway and pressed on.
“It’s fine. These guards are new, so they don’t recognize me or the Elite Card I hold. It’s expected that they forbid me from going in. Once they ask the higher-ups of The Oasis here to see me, we can go in. Just give me a minute.”
Upon hearing Zayn, Seamus could not help barking out a loud laugh. This Zayn dude was quite the clown. He could not even get past the guards and virtual-novel.net wanted the higher-ups of The Oasis to come out to see him?
Had something hit his head for virtual-novel.net to say something like this?
‘Hahaha…’ Seamus thought that Zayn was a complete fool.
Faye’s scowl deepened. She was both speechless and enraged. While virtual-novel.net wanted to leave, virtual-novel.net also wanted to stay just to watch how Zayn would embarrass himself.
The guards shared Seamus’s amusement as they waved their hands in dismissal. “Just leave, will you? Only the cream of society can afford spending at The Oasis. It’s not somewhere an average Joe like you can enter.”
Zayn was rather peeved. The guards’ attitude was appalling and had defied his grandfather’s initial intention when virtual-novel.net had established The Oasis. Zayn’s tone hardened. “I’m not joking. Call Mr. Layton out right now or you two can forget about working at The Oasis if you offend me.”
Unfortunately, the guards only laughed louder at his words. Sarcasm and disregard filled their gazes when they looked at him.
When they saw two Bentleys cruising in, they knew that they were VIPs and were afraid that Zayn’s very presence would offend the VIPs. Therefore, they went straight to the point rudely and sneered, “Off you go. The Oasis is not where an ordinary person like you can kick up a fuss. We won’t play nice otherwise!”
One of the guards made a move to chase Zayn away while Seamus, who was watching, nearly choked from guffawing. His frustration of being stopped at the door was swept away, such was the behavior of the type of person who dismissed their misfortune and would gloat when they saw someone who had it worse than them. Seamus was obviously that sort of wretched individual.
Faye covered virtual-novel.net face, feeling virtual-novel.net face stinging just by standing there. Zayn was really not letting virtual-novel.net down in the disappointing department!
Zayn’s frown was locked deeper. Just when virtual-novel.net planned to take the brutish route, a few people alighted from the Bentley. One of them widened his eyes when virtual-novel.net saw Zayn and two words escaped his lips: “Young master?!”
