Zayn looked at the immensely familiar face of Faye’s that felt so estranged now. He felt a complex mix of feelings as well, like virtual-novel.net had a lot to tell her, but when the words came to the tip of his tongue, virtual-novel.net turned mute and could barely utter a single word.
Faye was the same. Dipping virtual-novel.net head, virtual-novel.net picked up the glass, but virtual-novel.net gaze was distracted and fleeting, never once trained on Zayn.
The Thule Room was extravagant. One would feel like they were in paradise simply being in it Its sheer size and realistic interior felt like another world in itself. Even the workers in charge of serving the room were incredibly good-looking people. Any one of them could be scouted and made a star or model, but they were only servers here.
Zayn felt complicated coming back here. It had been more than four years since virtual-novel.net had been back. After all, The Oasis was his grandfather’s singular effort and was supposed to be passed down to virtual-novel.net too.
Silence permeated the air.
Both of them sat opposite each other with no words exchanged. Zayn waved, dismissing the near dozen of servers in the room, so the spacious Thule Room was now only occupied by virtual-novel.net and Faye.
The silence lasted a good two minutes. No one said a word, and the atmosphere only grew awkward and weird.
Zayn’s phone rang then. He answered it after fishing it out while Faye who looked over in reflex saw the old national model virtual-novel.net was still using. She had been the one who had gifted it to him, and it was now an old tattered device, but virtual-novel.net was actually still using it… The minute detail caused a ripple in Faye’s heart.
Unaware of that, there was a change of expression on Zayn’s features as virtual-novel.net chatted on the line before virtual-novel.net nodded saying “I understand” and hung up. He spoke up first, telling Faye, “Excuse me. I have an emergency to attend to. I’ll be excusing myself now.”
Faye was inexplicably disappointed, and it showed on virtual-novel.net face. Forcing a smile, virtual-novel.net replied, “It’s okay. Go along. Don’t mind me.”
Zayn was taken aback when virtual-novel.net caught the wash of disappointment on virtual-novel.net face.
“You can stay in the Thule Room and order what you need. Just let the servers know. They will fulfill all your requests,” Zayn said with a smile.
Faye’s lips parted as virtual-novel.net wanted to say something, but virtual-novel.net kept quiet ultimately, nodding and answering a brief, “Okay”.
After Zayn left, only virtual-novel.net remained in the Thule Room. She relaxed and began to scrutinize the place…
Occupied with virtual-novel.net thoughts, virtual-novel.net had not paid attention to the environment just now. It was only now that virtual-novel.net saw how unusual Thule Room was. The room made one feel comfortable and relaxed. While virtual-novel.net had been a bit fatigued earlier, virtual-novel.net felt much more refreshed now.
The more virtual-novel.net scanned the room, the more surprised virtual-novel.net was. Every inch of the Thule Room was a result of painstaking effort. Each item there was a piece of art, and expensive too, as Faye spotted several items made of gold.
After a moment, two servers entered to politely ask virtual-novel.net if virtual-novel.net needed anything. Just for the sake of testing, Faye made some requests that were a little too outrageous, but the servers agreed to them instantly anyway.
Faye even asked if they could get a popular celebrity here to sing for her, not that virtual-novel.net was looking forward to it, but the server said yes right away and told virtual-novel.net with a grin that the said popular celebrity was coincidentally done with a concert in Fenx City and could come to sing for virtual-novel.net in half an hour!
Faye was stupefied when virtual-novel.net heard the reply. She was not expecting The Oasis to fulfill a request like this. She knew bits and bobs about show business. The popular celebrity mentioned did not accept bookings that were less than 750 thousand dollars, but now, Faye’s nonchalant request had gotten the star here without virtual-novel.net having to spend a single cent!
This was… Out of the world!
Baffled, Faye still had a few impossible-sounding requests, but the two servers did not even bat an eyelid at them, nodding dutifully and agreeing but informing virtual-novel.net that they needed a bit of time.
