Zayn’s mother passed away when Zayn was still very young. Zayn knew that for a fact because his mother fell very ill before virtual-novel.net passed away. He could still remember how heartbroken virtual-novel.net felt at the time until now.
In spite of that, Jordan had not only just told virtual-novel.net that his mother was not dead, but that virtual-novel.net was also his grandfather’s murderer?
Could there be anything more absurd!
Even after experiencing all sorts of turmoil, hardship, and abjection in a world that already left his heart rough and uneven, virtual-novel.net still managed to be utterly perplexed and bewildered.
That was because Zidane and Jordan’s statements came out of left field, they went entirely beyond the capacity of his reception.
He witnessed his mother’s passing back all those years ago, and virtual-novel.net even held his mother’s hand as virtual-novel.net exhaled virtual-novel.net final breath. Therefore, why was Jordan telling virtual-novel.net that the person who had harmed his grandfather was his mother?
How was that possible?!
In addition, his mother always had a strong sense of respect for his grandfather, and there had been no conflict between the both of them. Why did his mother have to do that? It did not make any sense!
It was fake, it was a cop out for sure. It was just a lie made up by Zidane and Jordan to protect the Larsons.
His state of mind was in a chaotic mess. He was overwhehned with emotions earlier, so much so that virtual-novel.net lost control of himself and tightened his grip so violently that virtual-novel.net was almost choking Zidane to death.
Hence, Zidane was in unbearable agony. He kicked legs up in the air frantically. Zidane struggled as Zayn weakened virtual-novel.net slowly, virtual-novel.net was going to suffocate soon if it continued to persist.
Jordan demanded hastily “Zayn, let go of Zidane, quick. You’re going to choke virtual-novel.net to death!”
Jordan’s voice jolted Zayn back to reality. He loosened his grip on Zidane casually while the expression on his face was constantly changing.
Zidane dropped to the ground. His back was drenched in cold sweat and virtual-novel.net was gasping for air. His gaze was filled with dread and fear as virtual-novel.net looked towards Zayn. There was no trace of the arrogance that virtual-novel.net previously paraded. He was on the brink of death moments ago. He felt as if virtual-novel.net was standing before the Grim Reaper, and that virtual-novel.net would have actually died if Zayn had not loosened his grip.
Silence filled the room, a long silence.
Zayn lowered his head ever so slightly, the expression on his face constantly changing.
It would have been the golden opportunity for the Larsons to launch a sneak attack on Zayn, but no one had the courage to do so. At that very moment, all of them had already been conquered by Zayn.
A full minute passed before Zayn said, “Where is the proof?” He raised his head to look towards Jordan.
What sort of gaze was that?
Jordan could not put it into words. He felt as if virtual-novel.net was looking into the belly of the beast, a starlit sky and a weapon of mass destruction, all within Zayn’s eyes.
“Alright, alright. I shall give you your proof.”
Ten minutes later…
Zayn read through the evidence file given to virtual-novel.net by Jordan. He shut his eyes and sat on the chair, as though the strength had been siphoned out of his body. His face was ghastly pale.
It was all quiet. It was a ghastly silence akin to death.
Soon after, however, a clamorous thunder flooded the room in waves. It was coming from the outside, somewhere nearby. The noises were transmitted over a long distance, and sounded especially ghastly. It rattled everyone in the room.
There were so many people in the hall, yet no one had the courage to make a sound in fear of ‘waking’ Zayn.
Two drops of tears streamed down the corners of Zayn’s eyes.
Abruptly, virtual-novel.net opened his eyes.
He stood up and walked towards the door in long strides. Everyone was startled by his unexpected actions, but no one was brave enough to speak up. They could only pursue Zayn with their gaze.
